Most places I've worked at haven't had a dress code. So for me it's as much about looking as smart as possible without feeling uncomfortable. Sometimes I'll wear smart trousers with a nice shirt and other times I'll wear black jeans and a shirt.

I think it does if you wear it on a day to day basis

Blue polo shirt and black pants. Other than that they don't care, which is one of the reasons I love what I do.

I work in a research lab and I can go to work with my converse, jeans and band shirts! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Some dress up, others do not, we're not expected to be presentable and that's great

Not an official uniform, but I wear a button work shirt of a single color, blue jeans, and steel toed boots. Depending on the contractor or location, I need a hard hat and a high vis vest.

I work at a gas station, so I am required to wear a bright vest so I don't get hit by cars.

I work at a swimming pool. When lifeguarding, we wear red shorts and a blue or yellow shirt (depending on when we are regular guards or a lead guards) with our pool's logo on the back. When teaching swim lessons or water aerobics, we wear modest swimsuits.

In my current job, no. As long as our clothes aren't inappropriate for a retail setting we can wear pretty much anything. In my last job (as prep cook in a restaurant) we had to wear white button-up shirts and those stupid white paper cup hats. I never saw the point to the hats as they're paper and by the end of the night, with all the sweating you do in a hot kitchen, they're ruined and falling apart.

At my current job, khaki pants and a vest but we can wear whatever shirt we want as long as it doesn't have anything offensive on it.

I work at a bakery and we're required to wear these black and white striped aprons, which I don't mind wearing because I find them to be fairly cute. Other than that, we're allowed to wear whatever we want underneath and it's very convenient!

My high school has very lax uniforms.
We have to wear official school shirts or sweaters with the school logo on it in my school colours, either maroon or white, with black pants, or acceptable shorts or skirts.

I have such a strict uniform. We have to wear the schools trousers, button up shirts and ties as well as dress shoes with specific socks. Next year we have to wear blazers like little business people :frowning2:
