Albums (do I need to re-upload photos)

    First of all, the new site looks great! However, one problem I seem to be having is that the photos I had previously uploaded have disappeared. I just wanted to ask if this was something that will be fixed as other aspects of the old site are implemented or if I need to reupload the pictures. Either way is fine with me. Also, It shows that you can now embed videos in albums and I was wondering what the rules are for that. For example: can I embed videos on my Youtube/Vimeo account? and if not, what is the purpose of this feature?

    Hi!

    When accessing the Media section and selecting 'Your Albums' on the left, are there no images appearing for you? That page takes me to my albums and all the pictures I had inside them. It should theoretically be working for you too.

    I'll have to get back to you on the video option in galleries. My initial thought is that it shouldn't be there, but I may be forgetting a particular staff discussion. :slight_smile:

    Please let me know if you can't locate your content. :slight_smile:

    Hi Martin,
    When I go to the media section under "your statistics" it says that I have no albums and no media when in fact I have two albums one of which has three photos and the other has one (see attached image).

    I also wanted to let you know that when I go to add media it shows that I can select the albums that used to be there.

    On th videos, yes, it is N oversight on our part that video upload was left on as an option. It should have been disabled.

    We will eventually have curated video in the new front end, and there will lilely be some process for members to submit videos to be considered for thAt, but it is a ways away yet.

    if I may jump in here, my albums are gone as well. there were 3 albums, one of shoes, one of pics of me an one of icebergs I was sharing with another member. I only had the first two here for security reasons.

    Hi peeps,

    For those experiencing album issues, can you please select the dropdown menu icon to the right of Media on the navigation bar (blue bar at the top), and select the 'Your Albums' option. Once there, if you could screenshot that page and upload it either in this thread or in ATS, it would be much appreciated. :slight_smile:

    Yo... um, on the subject of Albums (if i may revive this thread)...
    After messing with it for a bit, i got the Media tab on my profile page to show up with all my old images from before the update (even tho the site says i only have three images in the statistics, in reality i have seven images. Or at least i do on my screen?? That doesn't seem right either...) but now i can't get the Albums tab to show up. It might just be my bad, but it seems like it's something that's meant to be there. Glitch??

    Is anybody still having outstanding problems with old photos and albums? It seems like a lot of the old pictures have filtered through and are accessible, but I just want to check in case any issues are still outstanding.

    Can you try uploading a test image and seeing if that causes everything to update and appear once it has been approved?

    At the very least, your content is there and safe, so it's just a case of narrowing down options to see what the problem is. :slight_smile:

    If they don't appear after your test image has been approved, I would recommend starting a thread in ATS so we can discuss this further and see if we can get them to appear for you.
