I'm coming out to my mom tomorrow and need some motivation. On June 26, the gay marriage bill was passed, so that's why I'm doing it then. What are the best things about being out? Ok ok ok, first off I'm so excited for you and I know you can do it! Don't let any self doubt change your mind. And of course I would suggest coming out in the way you find most comfortable. Being out can be a very relieving experience. (from what I've heard) I'm not out. It will hopefully lift that weight off your shoulders and let you reach your full potential... If you're not already at it. I'm sure you're great. Anyways good luck and I know you will succeed and feel a lot better! Edit- And that youth group looks like a lot of fun! I hope you get to go. I wish I had something like that around me.
I'm only out to my cousin but believe me telling her was a massive weight off my shoulders! For me it made me a lot more comfortable as I didnt feel like I was lying to her anymore (not that me being a massive homo wasnt obvious lol). Other than that you get to talk about hot girls without anyone being like "wait wut?". Its pretty great.
Coming out is like an itch that needs to be scratched. I'm already "out" to myself- like I've accepted myself for the past two years, so this is just gonna be great. (Gamer, my heart goes out to you bc you're in Georgia)
