almost every girl i have met (all straight) acts cool and normal when we are together or with other girls but when a guy shows up there it is! all of a sudden they start to talk so different like with a high pitched voice (you get the idea) and they try SO hard to look "hot" and "sexy" and it's not that they do this just around handsome guys...they do it with EVERY guy they talk to... and i'm thinking why they do this?it's like they try to impress them or something? i don't know why i find this so annoying and i don't know if i'm the only one! give me your thoughts
I find it annoying too. Then again, anyone can act strange toward a person they're attracted to, I've always noticed that.
that's what irritates me the most..! they're not even attracted to these guys they just want to "show off" or something..
I wonder if they think guys are more attracted to ditzy behavior and they'd get more attention points for that? Never understood it.
I asked myself this same question, in kindergarten. It probably has something to do with attraction?? Or the whole "us vs them" mindset. Some people act like those from the opposite sex are an entirely different species. "Ooooh, a guuuy!"
I also act shy around attractive women but not around most because I see 99% of women as friends. I think straight people act differently because society tells us men and women can't be friends and are always romantically together. Whereas with same sex we are conditioned to assume most people of the same gender to just be friends.
I really wonder if they do it subconscious or they copy it from movies/Tvmedia? It's a turn off for me and hurts my ears, i almost gets goose bums. My hearing seems to be almost the same since childhood. Or is it cuz i didn't/don't go to concerts&clubs with 110/115 dB music and the danger start around 80 dB?
It's most likely just that they want their attention and want guys to like them back, since they like guys...it's not a big deal. I know girls who do this but everyone acts weird around the person they like.
