hey, I'm new to this website and I'm gradually getting used to it lol. anyways, I'm lauren and I'm a lesbian. I've been outed 3 times at 3 different schools and has definitely lowered my confidence, which really sucks. but, i'm trying to get my confidence back up! oh and i'm literally obsessed with tv shows lol
Hi Lauren! Big welcome to ya! Lots of awesome, friendly people here. I hope we can help u What tv shows do u like?
Hi Lauren. I'm Cam. Welcome to EC. The people here are friendly and supportive and it's a great place to talk to people from the whole rainbow spectrum. I'm sorry your confidence has been knocked. What shows in particular?
Hey lauren! Welcome to EC! Getting involuntarily Outed is ALWAYS definitely wrong. Your sexuality is your own personal and private information to share or not to share. Anyone who Outs you without your prior approval is, frankly, an a**! But, as you know, you can't control other people. If you are still mostly concerned about staying in the closet, then perhaps try choosing whom you Come Out to more intentionally and secure a promise from them (assuming they are someone whom you trust that far) not to reveal your personal information before you Come Out to them. Just my 2cents.
Thank you! Mainly glee, but honestly just anything that has good lgbt rep lol! ---------- Post added 15th May 2017 at 05:04 PM ---------- Thank you!! I can already tell how nice people on here are and I haven't even been logged in a day! And literally anything with some good, realistic lgbt representation - like glee. ---------- Post added 15th May 2017 at 05:05 PM ---------- Thank you, I appreciate it! I'll definitely make sure to remember that advice ---------- Post added 15th May 2017 at 05:06 PM ---------- Hello! Thank you
Sup Lauren - What`s your favorite TV series?! ---------- Post added 15th May 2017 at 05:22 PM ---------- Aside from Glee of course, I really enjoyed Arrow and Flash, hbu? ---------- Post added 15th May 2017 at 05:29 PM ---------- I haven`t watched Glee though not a huge fan of musicals, but to each their own
---------- Post added 15th May 2017 at 06:40 PM ---------- I'm currently catching up on the flash actually! And definitely hoping to start arrow at some point - seems interesting. And neither was I haha, but overall the messages in the show were put across well!
Don't forget Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. They are both good and have crossovers within the arrowverse
The Flash is great, who`s your favorite character in Flash it so far, elyssian? and yup the Arrowverse is pretty great
Iris! But Wally and Cisco are a very close second ---------- Post added 15th May 2017 at 07:42 PM ---------- did he actually omg?!
Iris huh? I wonder why??? , jk jk, but yeah she`s a great character one of my favorites too, and for some reason Cisco reminds me of myself. lmao
I also enjoy basically all of the Arrowverse shows - my favorite character on Flash is Cisco (mostly because of his amazing sarcasm), but my overall favorite character on those shows is Sarah Lance (mostly because of her bi character and overall bada** ness) I have seen a little bit of Glee, and I think it is a great show, especially how they portray the LGBT relationships with actual romance and more like it is in real life (whereas other shows/show directors don't seem to understand that LGBT relationships actually have that stuff too). Also, welcome to EC, elyssian, I hope you enjoy it here I was sorry to hear about your past and how people have outed you (they are just jerks and really rude) I hope you took it well and are enjoying wherever new school you are at now! - Rogue
Hello Lauren, welcome to EC. I am Cai, and I am also a lesbian, although I'm pretty sure you're aware of that, XD. I love TV shows as well. I've watched a lot of television shows, but there may be some that I have not really seen. Anyway, welcome! I hope to make friends with you in the future.
Thank you, guys! Its nice to be here ---------- Post added 16th May 2017 at 05:29 PM ---------- She's great lol :icon_lol: , but I 100% agree with the Cisco thing!
Hiya, Lauren! :smilewave You've come to the right place; you'll meet some wonderful, supportive, and caring people on here who can relate to your experiences. I also had a rough time with being a lesbian when I was in high school (but not feeling that I could be myself because I've grown up in a conservative small town). But it does get better, and you're in good company here on EC! Welcome! ride:
