    rip I'd have to say Sonic 3 as well and the first Sonic. I think the newer ones are okay but can't beat the classics if I do say so myself lol.

    Sonic 3 & Knuckles absolutely blew my mind. It's 2D platformer perfection.

    Most of the newer incarnations are nowhere near as good, though Sonic 4, Sonic Adventure and Sonic Generations have their moments.

    I loved sonic spinball!

    But man, I have to go with Sonic 2 as my top choice with Sonic 3 and Knuckles a very very close second.

    Sonic Spinball was so hard...I only just became aware that there was more than one level LOL.

    I'm torn between Sonic 3 and Sonic CD. The "time-travel" thing from CD was super fun, plus the OST "You Can Do Anything" and "Sonic Boom" were off the chain.
