I had a wattpad account for 3 years and recently deleted it. I remade a different one. What do you think of wattpad? Are you a writer? Are you just a reader?

Aw Wattpad, it was the best of times and the worst of times. I read stories starting 2014 and became a writer around 6 months later. It was a great place to practice writing and talk with fellow fans of my favorite books and shows. Though looking back most of our writing was pretty cringy and there still plenty of cringy stories on the site to this day. But by getting inspiration from incredible writers both original and fanfic writers plus the support of buddies I was able to create stories for others to enjoy even if I was the first to write about unknown ships/small fandoms. I don't post much these days, but am planning on either making a separate account or just adding on to my old one.

Personally, I'm on AO3. Wattpad was just a little too cringey for me and it seemed like every story was written by a 12 year old. Which is completely fine and its a great way to practice writing, but I'm just not in the target audience anymore and AO3 seems a little more mature.

Because I have a terrible sense of humor. But actually, that was me asking what it is because I really don't know and I'm curious.

Wattpad is pretty much just a website to read/write stories that haven't been officially published(such as the Harry Potter series as an example of a published book). Just google 'wattpad' and you'll find it

As for the original question, I don't use it often, but I do have one story on there and am planning another. I don't really read stuff on there though

I use it sparingly, mostly as a writing platform more than a social platform because I don't read other stories on the site.

And by sparingly, I mean I have a story and a poem anthology that only get updated like once every few weeks, because I am incredibly unmotivated.
