I just watched Sunset Boulevard and I have to say that I loved it.
Has any of you watched any old classic recently or has any suggestions on old films?

The last classic movie I remember would be either Wizard or Oz or Meet Me in St Louis, both Judy Garland classics.

Classic movies are timeless and never get old and they stories have more meaning to me. It just seems like more time and care was spent compared to today's movies. They seemed more special you know? That's make sense? Everypony's opinion is different. That's just my two bits,

Sullivan's Travels is totally recommended by me especially if you are having a bad day or are feeling sad one of my all time favorites and perhaps my favorite comedy ever. also anything by Chaplin is amazing in particular Modern Times and City Lights both are funny but also quite poignant. I hold comedies made from the silent era to the early 60's in such high regard as they are much funnier and less mean spirited than today's comedies.

If you like drama, I recommend 'A Streetcar Named Desire' from 1951. It's not as good as the original play, I found the ending rather disappointing as it was changed completely. But hey, it's got Marlon Brando in it.

The original Wicker Man is a wonderfully eerie movie.

Oh, I love that movie, Christopher Lee in one of his best roles. Sadly some original material that was cut by the editors is now lost, it was said that if they had included that material the film would have been ten times better.
I just watched another old Christopher Lee movie. Whip and the Body. The acting and the idea were good, and the costumes were fantastic, however it was poorly executed. Such a shame
