HE WROTE A BOOK. I SPENT THAT MONEY. If you don't know who Alex Bertie is, he is a trans guy and YouTuber. He's one of my favorite YouTubers and he's written a book. Jumping on the YouTube book bandwagon, but I appreciate his reasons for doing it - going into more detail about his life, from childhood to transition, especially since he's British and you don't hear or really know as much about transitioning in the UK than you do in, like, the U.S. I'm so excited for it to come out!
I haven't seen his stuff in forever. I know we connected a lot when we were both pre-T, which was comforting since most of the trans people I followed then were on T or post op.
I've followed his journey for a couple years now. I actually met him and Jake last year at a meet up, they're pretty cool. I'll get the book when it's out in stores, it sounds like a good read and his art is damn awesome so the visual should be spot on too.
Really? I've followed Alex for years on YouTube and he's been a huge inspiration for me. I will definitely check his book out.
It's £9.99 on Amazon, so I preordered it. It'll be cool to see it in shops, though. --- Yeah, I've followed his channel for a few years now (Jake's a little less than that). It's cool to have an inspiration who's close in age and can learn from, especially when you follow from the beginning.
Yeah, I saw his announcement yesterday and I was so pumped! Then, I saw people commenting on his video saying that they'd love to read it in their language, and I agreed so much. I'd love to translate it into French when it gets out, but I don't think I'll be ready by then. I'll only be halfway through my translation degree.
