I used to be considered a far left liberal, but the spectrum shifted, and now I've been involuntarily relocated to the middle. I'm now labeled a conservative Democrat because I can do math and realize that many things the Democratic base wants: Medicare for all, free college, free child care, government-subsidized maternity leave. All that costs money, and you're not going to be able to pay for it all with a mythical tax on Wall Street.

I'm still a Democrat for now, though once the Sanders wing takes over the party and purges everybody who isn't a true believer, I might just have to become an independent.

Internationally I'm centrist, leaning slightly right.
In America the spectrum has shifted ridiculously far to the right so where I live I'm considered pretty liberal.

Funny that you mention this. I'm getting more progressive and more of an activist as I get older

I'm pretty left, but I'm also not a fan of the left/right distinction. These days it makes more sense to divide between progressive and conservative.

Oh, I'm also a member of the (Dutch) green/left-wing party.

Having lived in a far left country for quite a while, I can honestly say that socialism is definitly not for me (I lived in Ukraine) for the time that I lived in England I always voted for the conservative party (mentally) as their ideas where just more sane than the lib-dems (liberal democrats)

I used to be a liberal-democrat but over time I've realized how corrupt the two-party system especially through this election and I've become more moderately conservative in terms of economic issues but remained very socially liberal. So, I've considered myself to be a left-leaning libertarian/independent.

Left-leaning independent. I don't fully back any of the two major parties, as I don't agree completely with either so I'd rather make my choices based on the parties current stances and prospective leaders. Issues like freedom of speech and press are huge to me, and I'm a huge advocate for individual rights. Socially I'm pretty liberal, economically I'm in the middle. Ultimately I'm just very idealistic and annoyed with the current two-party system in America.

Not a political person, but probably closest to Libertarian. I don't like calling myself a Democrat or a Liberal. So left-leaning Libertarian or left-leaning Independent.

Conservative probably. Used to be more Libertarian a few years ago but immigration issues changed how I see myself politically.

Center-left. I maintain liberal viewpoints but I haven't drank the social-justice Kool-Aid like some of the people I know.

I feel that the far left are just as hateful as the far right.

  14. Depending on the issue where I am switches; socially I'm left of center but I'm also conservative compared to a lot of my self identifying liberal friends.

When I took the political compass test, I got somewhat libertarian-left. I think that I consider myself left-libertarian-ish.

Glad to see so many other anarchists! Although I don't really understand anarcho-communism/socialism/syndicatism but meh.

Actually I'm not entirely an anarchist, although I believe anarchy is the best end goal. At least in Canada, considering how the states are now ruled by a racist nationalist isolationist dickhead, and Europe is becoming less and less welcoming to refugees, I think that anarchy would create more problems than it would solve right now. So many sudden recent changes in the world that we need some balance. I am however mostly a libertarian as far as what I think it CURRENTLY should be, although I do believe in heavy taxes on corporations and free healthcare (probably from those taxes.) Other than that as libertarian as you get.

Left-leaning independent. I agree with the left (Democratic Party) more than the right -- not to say it doesn't have it's problems, of course.
