    Hi,

Would love your opinions on whether my 13 yo lesbian daughter would benefit from seeing Moonlight now, or whether it would benefit her to wait. She wants to see it and so do I but I'm mainly nervous about the homophobia in the movie.

    Thanks a lot.

maybe not because the movie is rated R where you live in NYC which translates to 15 by the BBFC so i would personally wait before she see's it and just get it on DVD or watch it on netflix when it comes out.

But it's her choice though if she really wants to see it badly then take her but if it's something she can wait for (like i'm waiting for LEGO batman) then just wait until it's released to buy.

And remember we are here to support not judge.

Thanks so much sonic1337111. I talked to her and she really wants to see it. I think we will watch it together to process it. Appreciate your thoughts.

Not sure if she would benefit from it. Tbh the movie isn't THAT LGBT related, he just happens to be a boy. It's more about bullying and standing up against it imo. It has violence and drugs in it too, so be on your watch...
