What kind of things do you do to zone out from reality and just take your mind away from your daily stressful things that bug your mind? For me, I love to close the door to my room, turn on my favourite music and pretend that I am a singer doing a concert for an imaginary crowd. I know that it might seem strange but it really helps me to "escape from reality" and drain my stress away at the end of the day.

That's not strange. Whatever works for you. Personally, I have a punching bag for times like that. If I'm feeling stressed or angry, I go off and wail on the thing. It really does work wonders, because I've got insane rage issues some days and it's nice to have an outlet.

There are several things that I do to alleviate stress such as; hanging out with good friends, working out, reading, long walks, nightclub dancing and of course, SEX!!!!

If I'm stressed, I just work out a little more than normal. The sweat and all the moving I do distracts me and helps. Either that, or I meditate and focus a lot on how I breathe.

Best thing I found for stress relief is running. I run 40 to 50 kilometers a week. I can run a 10k race in around 44 minutes, OK for a guy in his 60's.
I also listen to music.....all kinds of music, classical, rock, jazz and trad. and world music. I have a weird vinyl and CD collection that includes everything from Tuvan throat singing to opera and rock and pop!

Listening to music usually helps the most, but I also tend to play video games or sleep.

I found that blasting music through my headphones helps. Now for my ears.. well, it doesn't help. Lol.

Depends on the situation. Mostly listening to music and writing though- and having something to fiddle with- like a piece of string, a pencil, some kind of surface/fabric. I get stressed at restaurants/ noisy public events so I find it helps to have some music at hand if I need to tune out for a while (obviously doing so while safe) can help.

If I don't have any music, I usually go somewhere quieter and visualise a nice calm field with a helicopter hovering in the distance, or being at home in the Summer and hearing chirping birds outside. Just looking back on calm memories.

Stroking my cat when she sits on my lap makes me feel calm to, especially the purring.

Writing and music are what I turn to. I also try to keep the directors I look up to in mind, especially when I feel stressed about a project or a life situation--in that they'd want me to be strong and know if I've made it this far with everything I've gone through, then I can overcome this as well.

Fixing things while listening to music usually. I've been fixing an old acoustic guitar I got for free the past few days as a matter of fact.

Also cooking or calling a friend on the phone and talk about anything is a good distraction.

    I mostly draw or write.

I have tons of projects in the work, so I feel a bit more accomplished when I do something with them.

For me , I lay in a chair and listen to some good music while drinking a nice cold cup of iced coffee while being in my own head . That always helps for me ^^

    Exercise until tired

Listen to aggressive or upbeat music when playing video games

Research the problem and find ways to fix it or manage it
