How do I subtly hint towards my parents that I think I'm gay without straight up (pun intended) saying "Mom I'm gay". I will come out so it's just a matter of when and I would love a situation where her reply would be "honey I've known for a while". I was just looking for hints to drop so coming out would be easier and less of a shock for everyone involved.
Could jokingly talk about how 2016 has been one heck of a ride especially with gay marriage being passed in the US and so forth. Kind of draw something out of them. If that's too subtle, could always say," I wish I could've been in D.C. for all the historic events this summer." Really will depend on how accepting they are of gays. What I did was asked my dad for dinner one night to talk to him about something bothering me. He guessed before they had the waitress had a chance to ask what we were going to have to drink
I've been wanting to know the exact same thing! Hints seem like good groundwork for "the big come-out". Maybe start talking about a crush or someone you simply think is cute using gender neutral pronouns.
