Oops, that's kind of embarrassing. Today, I was talking to a friend about relationships. Well, I'm so used of saying I'm gay (here and in my family) and talking about my future with a girl, so I automatically said: "One of the traits my girlfriend should have..." and I realised I came out :bang: Well, it wasn't that bad, she just looked at me and asked me, if I was gay. I said yes and the conversation went on. I was so scared there, because I've never came out to someone I didn't know the thoughts about the LBGT-community. Luckily, everything went well ^^ So yeah, now a friend of mine knows
Hey at least the reaction wasn't bad! Plus, It's nice to get it out in the open so you can discuss relationships easier.
Hey Jolly Hermione, Congratulations! That actually seems to have been a pretty cool way for you to Come Out to a friend. You didn't have to stress about it in advance, you just mentioned it casually (so there was no build up), and your friend was accepting.
Thank you both! I guess it's easier like that, because as you said Quantumreality, it didn't have a build up, it just was like a normal conversation. I'm quite proud of myself, but also scared, because I hope she's not going to tell everyone ^^
I'm glad they reacted positively towards your accidental comment. It's always the fear of the unknown of how people will react.
Hey Jolly Hermione, If that's a significant concern, then maybe just talk to her again and let her know that you are not Out to everyone, so you would appreciate her keeping your persona information to herself.
