I have decided I will never have kids and dislike womanhood. How do I stop my period forever without surgery? Birth control pills that slow the flow are no longer enough. I want my period GONE.

Depo Provera, the contraceptive injection but it can have side effects like weight gain and mood swings etc.

I mean, IUDs last 2 years and stop periods for that time, and if you take testosterone, it will stop periods for as long as you take it really...

Depo shot worked for me, but I don't recommend it as it's one of the most dangerous types of birth control. I've had to use it for medical reasons, and we're still trying to find a safer alternative that works

Progesterone mini-pill that you take every day. I've been on it for 5 months, don't regret it one bit.

Some types of birth control may stop it but they don't work for everyone. Testosterone also frequently has a side effect of stopping it, but can take a few months and will of course have other masculinizing effects you may not want.

Unfortunately that's about it. All other methods I've heard of are surgical. It sounds like you're already on birth control; perhaps you could ask your doctor about alternatives to the pill, which are more likely to stop it completely.

Birth control stopped mine for over six months, and I know people had luck with the depo shot. Everyone gave good suggestions, so I hope this helps.

If birth control pills and surgery aren't options, testosterone is the only thing left that I can think of, though even that isn't 100% guaranteed.

Can I ask why surgery isn't an option for you though? If you don't ever want kids and want your period gone forever, having a hysto is a permanent solution that, unlike all the others, doesn't require consistent prescription upkeep. They can just remove the uterus and keep your ovaries in if you want to stop periods without fucking with your hormone levels.

Never have a break when taking the pill. Take it continuously. Haven't had a period myself in forever. I suffer badly anyway from the pain but the added bonus is not having such a stark reminder slapped in my face every month.

Nothing is permanent without surgery. There are a few different options for surgery, some people have the uterine lining cauterized without a hysterectomy, but that's still a surgical intervention. Your only non-surgical options are temporarily making it go away or get lighter.

I'm the same way. There are many different strengths of BC, have you talked to your doctor about the strength you are taking? Maybe you don't have one of a high enough level. Usually when taken without a break you can expect a *possible* small breakthrough once in a blue moon, but not heavy bleeding by any means.

Otherwise, surgery is about the only option left.
