It is Russia Today, Russia's English propaganda machine.

If we ignore that fact, the "researcher" Paul R. McHugh is a known anti-LGBT Catholic who has devoted his life to trying to prove that LGBT people are messed up because it goes against his beliefs. He also thinks sexual orientation and gender identity are not biologically fixed and comes about from sexual abuse or because people are confused.

He is on a personal vendetta and not actually practicing science. If you only look for what you want to find and ignore everything which goes against your beliefs, you can "scientifically" prove almost anything when it comes to psychology and publish papers on it.

You need a lot of studies from unbiased scientists and then follow-up meta studies to get a good grasp of how things are because it is such a complicated subject. There are no absolute mathematical formulae to prove that it definitely is one way or another, and an incredible amount of factors have to be taken into account.

This is a pretty good read and analysis of his "science".

Oh well, that explains a lot. Didn't knew this was a Russia propaganda site, nor that Mr Paul was this kind of person. When I read that and saw he was from Johns Hopkins, it seemed legit at first. Good to know
