    During the interview:
WOMAN: Do you support marriage equality?
TRUMP: It's irrelevant because it was already settled. It's law it was settled in the supreme court. I mean, it's done.
WOMAN: So even if you appoint a judge that...
Trump interrupts her and then continues reassuring that it's settled.
Will marriage equality be overturned? It's pretty unlikely but not impossible (not completely settled), because they can overturn it. There would be a huge uproar if it happens, and it would lead to even less trust of the government since it clearly doesn't represent us, as the majority of Americans support marriage equality.
Also if Trump really supports marriage equality why is he appointing people who don't?

I think it's because he is looking at this at a business perspective. He's mostly focusing on the economy. I guess he feels like his employment choices would be best for the economy.

What I'm waiting for is if he truly is pro-lgbt, then he better tell his bigoted supporters to fuck off and stop assaulting people.

Oh it was all just propaganda! I think Trump will do okay and I don't think he's gonna change anything with lgbt rights. And I'm not just saying that either Austin.

Don't forget that while Trump may personally support queer marriage, he's vowed to sign the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) the moment it reaches his desk. For those of you who don't know, FADA will allow businesses and other organizations to discriminate against you without federal repercussions on the basis of religious freedom and/or moral objections to being queer. We may still have our right to marriage, but not necessarily protection in the workplace.

Here are the important parts of the bill, if you're interested:

I agree. Riddle me this / If I told you the last thing I said was A lie, but the next thing I'M about to tell you is the truth. Would you believe me?

This man has flip flopped on so many issues so far, I can't believe anyone would believe anything that comes out of his mouth. Yet as hopeless as it sounds, they do. It's no wonder were doomed. Sadly enough though, that they wont believe.:icon_sad:

He can say whatever he wants just to make sure he wins, but that doesn't mean he's going to do it. But if he says that gay marriage settled, then he should be smart enough to realise that taking back gay marriage would kick up a storm. All you can do is wait and see, but from what I've seen, he's no more pro LGBT rights than Hillary was.

It's been said here before by others, and it's still true. What Trump says doesn't matter, isn't the issue in his administration. The one that seems to really be doing the work of being a president, steering the ship, is Mike Pence. :frowning2: Despite this, I don't believe we're doomed just yet. It's not like we're going back to the 1950's, or the Republicans are instituting some kind of Christian version of Sharia law. Progress is sometimes two steps forward, one step back.

Yeah, Pence is an even bigger moron. Ted Cruz level stupid. Look at what he's done to the laws of North Carolina, he's given one of the most infamous states it's place and now he's in the VP slot. Good going, US.

Trump seems to like riling up the crowd and getting them angry for attention, this worries me because the US is packed to the brim with gun nuts and if somebody assassinates him, we're stuck with a certified law demolitionist in charge.

    The man is a RETARD.

Seriously considering taking a holiday to the USA and shooting the man in the balls, then the head.

    please do XD

Honestly though I am more worried about someone coming to assassinate Trump, and not getting rid of Pence, who believes in conversion therapy. Yikes.

What did he do in N.C. ? Pence is governor of Indiana. Some think he's even worse than McCrory though, who thankfully lost his re election bid.

Honestly as it looks you will be best dropping a bomb on the inauguration so you can be sure to get rid of all the infestation.

It remains to be seen from me if he'll say this with no cares given to his Republican donors. As well as the Republican House, Senate, etc.

Quite elegantly dealt with, as usual... Love him, or hate him, but Trump is quite smart. Compared to him Obama and Bush had some serious deficiencies on the attic department...

If I had a critical task and I had to chose my men, I wouldn't mind to appoint the devil if I knew I could trust him. Trust comes first.

Oh goodness, I'm getting my morons blurred together again... They all think and sound exactly the same so it smudges thoughts effectively. Pretty sure I got them mixed up on plenty of other threads too.

Indiana sort of got run into the ground too, but not to the same degree. I'm essentially getting confused about the actions of one villain to another, but misinformation should be acknowledged regardless. Thanks for clarifying!
