I have liked kpop for around 7 years now. My favorites are Jay Park, Vixx, f(x), and Epik High. There was a time where Tvxq was my obsession.

I'm glad to hear that some people like kpop on this forum! I mainly listen to jpop but I listen to a few kpop bands and artists. I love Apink and Laboom. Also CLC is a fun group. My favourite though is Park Boram with her song "beautiful".

The good thing about music in general is that you don't have to understand it to thoroughly enjoy it, at least for me. Depending on the song, you can sense the emotions and musicality by just listening to their voice as well as the beat of the song. You start picking up some Korean too when you listen to it for a while. :icon_wink

I used to think exactly the same way but actually I'm really starting to feel like I agree with Ryler, the music is so intense and emotional, even if I don't understand the singing I find that I actually focus in on the music itself and appreciate that even more than I would normally - it's becoming really addictive to me.

Also some songs are in English or have English parts, those bits can become really catchy and you can hum or sing along to those parts.
