It was actually my little sister (1 year younger than I am). We were eating ice cream and she just wanted to know everything about my crushes, etc. (I tried to play the game of me liking boys...). So at one point she asked me what kind of guys I liked (long hair, etc.) and I just froze for a second and really slowly said: I think I'm more into girls... She immediately smiled at me and said: Me too! So we actually just came out to each other. Although, she said after it, that she was more bi than gay. But yeah (!) I'm so glad I had/have someone to turn to ^^
Thanks I think these stories of people coming out to each other are pretty sweet ^^ I have to say though, that I am more open with my sexuality. My sister only told me, but maybe for her it's okay like that ^^
Congratulations, Jolly Hermione! You've got to feel great that you are Out to a family member. And now you and your sister can bond even more closely since neither of you have to hide that secret little part of your lives from each other.
That's awesome! Earlier this year, our (then) 13 year old told us at dinner one night that she liked a girl. We had already figured it out and we told her that was fine, but that the rule about not seriously dating until 16 still stood whether it was boys or girls. Then, I told her it must be hereditary. She looked at me a bit puzzled until I told her I am bi!
I love stories like this. I came out to a good friend in July and he immediately came out to me as well. It's wonderful when this happens. ride:
Thank you all very much @Quantumreality: Yes, we actually already had a really strong bond, but this made it even better ^^ However, I think she doesn't trust me that much. When I told her, I came out to my mother, she was in shock and asked if I told my mum about her. I would never do something like that! @mrgoodwrench: That's nice! I think my parents would have said the same thing if I'd told them when I was under 18 @Imgay47: I love stories like these too You couldn't write it better ^^
