I know that I'm out to a few friends but I can never come out as gender queer to my family or most of my friends because most people have this belief that there are only male and female. I can't even wear pink without someone calling me a freak. Happened on my birthday. I'm just not sure what to do in this situation. Just one question. Will the world ever understand?:tantrum:
I noticed your location. In that area you will get insults thrown at you for being gender queer. I guess you can ignore it. Try wearing earphones. That is what I do so I don't have to listen or deal with random people on the streets. Then again you may get rude group of people that may attack LGBT people. I just find it easier to hide it in public. Just more safe for me.
Maybe you could try saying you just don't conform to gender roles? I don't really know :/ I'm from somewhere near Birmingham, too, so I get what that's like. I've chosen to live as I am, rather than transitioning for similar reasons. I hope things work out better for you xx
