I was wondering if anyone knows any good movies featuring lesbians, preferably taking placing in high school, university, or with a married lesbian couple.(!)
there was a thread about this a few days ago, there are some good suggestions there http://emptyclosets.com/forum/chit-chat/222246-lesbian-themed-films.html
Just don't watch 'Blue is the Warmest Colour' It's a terrible film. I sat through the whole 3+ hours of it, only to find a crappy ending, a very lacklustre explanation of what happened between the blue haired one and her ex, that ridiculous stereotype that all bi people will cheat with someone of the opposite sex, and the 'gay relationships must end in tragedy trope. I think there's a 'gay and lesbian' film section on Netflix, if you go into categories.
The only lesbian movie that I've seen is 'D.E.B.S.', an action comedy about a squad of four girls who's in the secret agent organization D.E.B.S. They're after the super villain Lucy Diamonds and in the middle of the movie, one of the girls starts to question her sexuality. Interestin' and beautiful in that way but I can't say that there are top notch jokes or so compared with the greater comedy movies we have It's all about personal taste in the end Classic length of 1h 30 min I think, it was some time ago when I saw that one;P Some faces though could be abit familiar if you're a movie- and/or a general TV-person;P
Imagine me and you .It is great though it lacks chemistry ,if you u love sappy romantic comedies like me.then you will love it.
I just watched 'The kids are alright' and although some things definitely bothered me I really liked it. It was the first movie about lesbians I saw that wasn't some 'straight girl falls for a lesbian' story. It's about a married couple and their 2 kids going through family drama including the sperm donor.
