I like looking at the literature in Harry Potter. So jealous of the kids born today that will probably get to study it for their GCSEs [or whatever it will be when they do their qualifications, it's gone back to O-levels now].

Ah same xD I'm studying Jekyll and Hyde and Macbeth, which are good and all, but won't beat when people can study Harry Potter :frowning2:

We had to study R&J for three years so I got really bored. It was okay for A-levels when we did "12th Night" but got a bit boring after a while as well.

Haha I guess it will get boring after a while. Oh well, got another two years to bear with it. Why can't Harry Potter hurry up so that we can study it xD

If I had read Harry Potter by the time doing my A-level coursework, I probably would have done something to argue it onto the school board. [Apparently AQA actually consider the book if the essay is well argued.]

Although, if kids are having to do it for homework, will they find it boring? I had to do Lord Of the Flies for Literature GCSE and found it boring, but I read it later and found it interesting.

Really? Well I'll have to start writing my essay then xD
I guess doing it for homework could be boring but oh well, at least it would still be Harry Potter. I've never read Lord of the Flies actually but I have been meaning to

Lord of the Flies is the basis for the later film Lost if you've seen that.

The essay is for A-level literature, but not sure what It'll be like in 3 years time when you take it, they change it all the time. Although I'm sure if enough people got together [A-level literature or not] and wrote their own essays, it could happen. Especially if we do it Hermione style.

Yes, even before I said I ''liked and read Harry Potter'' I still appreciated the work she had done, same with Noughts + Crosses by Malorie Blackman, everyone whose read that says it's good and it's got a lot to do with race in it so could be good on a A-level board - it says not for anyone under 15 on the back. Maybe they could then take off Wuthering Heights, because it was repetitive and basically a later version of Romeo + Juliet, just with slightly more up-to-date language.

Sounds like you really like books and literature. I am actually getting into the "older" stuff. Currently reading To Kill A Mockingbird.

XD And I would love to try to get it on the board, especially Hermione style aha.
I'm a rebel wannabe so I'll read Noughts + Crosses xD I'm 15 in a couple of months anyway.
Wuthering Heights is something I want to read but if it is like that then idk xD

Just started the first Harry potter book, on chapter 6. I read the first six books but then someone introduced me to The Dresden Files and I lost myself in those books, it was almost like books set in the future with Harry all growed up xD Enjoy the Philosopher's Stone so far, though.

Was never really a Potter fan (although, I probably would like it if I got into it.

    I DO love K-Pop though

I'm a massive fan of k-pop and a traditional fan of Harry Potter, as most people are. Anything SM Entertainment related and I'm there, however they treat their idols really bad and that makes me sad :frowning2:
