So, as some of you may know, I haven't been able to go to any QSAs because I was either too young or it was for some school that I wasn't going to but a little while ago my mom found a QSA in a library near me...and I went today...AND IT WAS AWESOME! So, it was just me, a lesbian cis girl, and the facilitator who was also lesbian and cis. I was hoping to meet some other trans kids but...hey, can't have it all! So, it was really great and it was fun to talk to them. I've never gotten to really talk with experienced, out lesbians in real life. It was really awesome! But, the highlight of my day...the one thing that just made me feel SO good is...EVERYONE. USED. MY. NAME!!! Even my MOM used my name! My preferred name, I mean. I'm so happy! Also, my Gravity Falls Journal 3 came today, that was also pretty awesome. All in all, this QSA was great! (!)
That's awesome, Pugs! I'm glad you found somewhere friendly. I wish there was another genderfluid around where I live to talk to.
Great news. I'm glad you've had a good experience. I remember when I went to my school's GSA for the first time, it was thrilling to be called by name and all.
I would totally go to one, but that would mean coming out to my parents... and basically everybody else, and I'm not ready for that. I'm not really sure what to do.
