My favourite author is probably Daphne du Maurier. Jamaica Inn in particular is one of my favourite novels of all time.

I also like Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

In regards to more modern series, I really like J.K Rowling/Robert Galbraith's Cormoran Strike novels.

Ray Bradbury is my personal favorite. Everything I've read from him is incredibly creative.

Rick Riordan will forever be my favorite authors.

  6. I know I won't remember all the ones I want to say but here's the few I can think of off the top of my head:

A Song of Ice and Fire
    The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
Mrs. Dalloway (This is quite different from the rest, but one of my favorites)
Shatter Me (3 book series with a spin-off of sorts (best one) called Destroy Me)
    Maximum Ride (series)
    Harry Potter (my childhood)
    The Bonesetter's Daughter
The Bloodletter's Daughter (not related haha)
    1984 (great read)
    Fahreinheit 451
The Da Vinci Code, Inferno, Angels and Demons (Dan Brown!)
    Throne of Glass (series)
Emperor's Edge (series)(this one was so amazing)
    Iron Butterfly (series)
    Grave Mercy

Phew! That's just a handful of them! When I have time I'll add to the list. Haha

Warriors by Erin Hunter. That is the only book series I'm reading at the moment and it's so addicting.

I also like most of the Twilight Saga.

The Department Q series by Jussi Adler-Olsen, probably. They're crime novels translated into English (from Danish) and I just finished the most recent one - they are soooo good.

I swear it's not obscure. If you're making a reading list then you should put them on, haha.

Cormac McCarthy is my favorite author; "All the Pretty Horses" is my favorite book, but "Suttree" and "Child of God" are close seconds.

Stephen King's "Dark Tower" series is incredible. I've been rereading it, with only a minor break to read another book, and its been a blast experiencing my favorite parts of the series while simultaneously rediscovering parts of the story I'd forgotten about.

I haven't been on this site in forever so this is interesting. I suppose my favorite series would have to be the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas and Harry Potter (of course). I mostly read stand alone novels though because I find it hard to stick to a story for a long period of time.

Favourite series are Harry Potter and The Lioness Quartet (by Tamora Pierce). Favourite authors are Margaret Atwood and Joseph Boyden.

It's not technically a series, but there's a pair of books, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and Wide Sargasso Sea by Jean Rhys, and I love them! Wide Sargasso Sea takes place before Jane Eyre but was written decades later. Love em.
