If someone wanted to become a citizen of your micronation, would there be a process they'd need to take to gain eligibility? If you can think of any other things, feel free to add on. I'd call my nation Nonexistent Existence, just to mess with people. The flag would be black with a silver line along one side. Nonexistent Existence would be very far north. Somehow the citizens never get cold. There wouldn't be any anthem. The currency would be lines of computer code. Each code would do something different, and the more interesting/dangerous codes are worth more. Nonexistent Existence would have seventeen different national languages, and the citizens would switch between them constantly. This way it's extremely hard to learn the languages, which are suspiciously like ciphers. National symbols would be a particular string of binary code, the moon, and dark contact lenses, which for some reason every Nonexistence Existence citizen wears. There wouldn't be any holidays. It would be a republic, but no one ever sees the president. Some are starting to doubt she exists. Nonexistent Existence would have mostly neutral relations - think Sweden. There wouldn't be many laws - just don't hurt anyone, don't kill animals, lying is forbidden unless absolutely necessary, don't turn traitor, and no pointless destruction. To become a citizen, you'd either have to be born into the nation, or pass a complicated brain scanning test. (Think MRI plus IQ test plus MBTI.) No one person knows the entirety of the brain test, and it changes every time. If you pass, you get the black contact lenses. Don't worry, you'd still be able to see with them. To stop being a citizen of Nonexistent Existence, all you'd have to do is take a pill which grants partial amnesia and wipes your memories of any national secrets you might know. Then just throw away your lenses and walk out.
Peaceful open country, not a very big military. Most people leave their doors unlocked because it is so safe. Vast mountains to go hiking on and enjoy the view. Most people here are very fond of kayaking, scenic areas, quiet local pubs and bars, dogs and cats equally and warm tea. We celebrate all cultures there are no national holidays or strict rules. (!)
