Mind. I don't really believe in souls, and the body needs the mind.

I said mind. Like others who have said it before me, i dont believe in the concept of a soul. I believe that once you die, your body is decomposed and reconnected with the earth and space.... after all, we are just a collection of space stuff lol

Bodies are weak and temporary. The real question is the distinction between what is a soul versus a mind? For me a mind is thought, memory, personality, and emotions. A soul would be the affect of those things on the core of you. A person with amnesia or a traumatic brain injury resulting in a change of personality would still have something 'left', let's call that the soul.

That's more important to me. The heart of who you are, the sum of yourself. Not what you say, do, or have experienced, but how it made you.
