All day long, my thumb of my right hand has been stinging/burning. It looks totally normal; the pain is inside of it. The pain is briefly relieved if I rub the nail of my index finger against my thumb. This pain has happened to me several times to me in the past. I'm guessing it's not serious. What might it be? Has anyone else experienced this? It's so annoying. >.<

Did you do anything to injure yourself recently or do you think It's a chronic pain condition?

It still hurts really badly. I had to do all my homework left-handed because of it. I told my mom about it but she didn't take me seriously because there's no outward sign of the pain (like redness or swelling). Ugh. >.<

You might be holding your pen or pencil too tight. Do you have full range of movement? If not that would indicate a problem.

After researching it, I think it might be carpal tunnel syndrome. My mom said she might take me to the doctor this weekend (finally taking me seriously, somewhat) to see if it's something that needs professional care.

Yes, but it sometimes feels uncomfortable to move it. Not usually/recently, though.

Yeah. I'm using my left hand for it now. I was actually using it less than usual when it started hurting, though.

Today it doesn't hurt much; it just randomly starts burning every once in a while but most of the time there's no pain. Instead, my thumb has gone numb. o.o I can still feel it a little, but definitely not as much as the other thumb. Also my mom apparently stopped caring. -_-'
