    Hey all,

Just thought I'd make a thread here for LGBT movies with happy endings (made in any part of the world). There are too many that just seem to have sad endings and some positivity would be good :icon_wink

I'll contribute first with Transit Girls, a Japanese lesbian drama.

    Any others, guys? :icon_bigg

    From top of my head:

    Carol
    Hawaii
    Plan B
    But I'm a Cheerleader
    The Perfect Wedding
    In & Out
    Birdcage
    Pride
    Five Dances
    Eating Out 2: Sloppy Seconds

These are the ones came to my mind at first go

Also many American Rom-com like gay movies tend to have positive ending... pity only positive thing that can be said about them is this... most of them are terrible terrible movies.

Jenny's Wedding! That's a great movie about a lesbian girl who is trying to get married to her spouse of 5 years but she also has to come out to her parents! It has a wonderful ending and it's a very nice movie! You can find it on Netflix if you want to watch it (that's where I watched it.)

Fourth Man Out is a feel-good buddy comedy about a 24 year old mechanic coming out as gay and the events that happen during and after his friends' acceptance of him. It definitely has a bro feel to it (after all he is a mechanic) and I may be biased since it was filmed in my hometown, but it's definitely one of the happier endings that I've seen in LGBTQ films.

While it is not really counts as LGBT movie Batman Bad Blood has nice ending for Kate & Rene (Batwoman is a lesbian and even as an animated movie they didn't try to hide it. It is out in open with two women flirting and all).

Most of the ones I've seen have already been mentioned, apart from Gray Matters, which I really quite liked - it's about a woman who doesn't realise she's gay until she kisses her brothers fiancé one night when they are both a bit tipsy. The fiancé doesn't remember it but the main character certainly does! It's quite a sweet film and I just genuinely love the story

    Question:

    Does Far from Heaven counts?

    ::SPOILER::
Dennis Quaid's character suffers for being gay but in the end unlike his wife who was in a blooming bi-racial relationship, finds the boy of his dreams and chose to live with him.

    Totally agree.
I was being hopeful with this new short I found, but it does have a sad ending. Still a good film, definitely helps people get a better understanding of cancer and gay people. Plus the actors are HOT! Lol

Big Eden. I watched it on netflix while I was waiting for university to start up and it's a real cute indie(?) film. Won several awards at LGBT film festivals.

Basically an artist comes back to his hometown in Montana from New York to care for his ailing grandfather and reunites with his friends and family and the love interest surprised me while I was watching it. My friend said the ending was anticlimatic for her but honestly after watching so many LGBT films where they have sad endings, this film just made me smile so much.
