If there's something that tastes significantly worse than the rest of what I'm eating I'll eat it first (and if something's significantly better I'll eat it last).
I always eat with a knife and fork. At school, I eat my fries and pizza with a fork. I would use a knife but I obviously can't use a knife at school.
I try to make everything balanced. It annoys me when I get more of something to balance things out and someone else serves me something else and throws the balance off.
I tend to save the best for the last. For example if I have different vegetables then I usually eat the ones I don't like as much first and only then the ones I like more. Same for things in a mixed salad, mixed ice cream etc. I also can't really eat meat without anything else. I usually need to eat enough potatoes, vegetables etc. at the same time. I guess the taste of meat alone is just too strong for me most of the time.
My grandma says the same thing to me. "Slow down, taste the food" she often says when I'm with her. In my college years, when my mom would visit and we would go out to eat together she would say I eat fast so that I would get done before her and that she would let me order dessert.
I kind of inhale it, so does my family. Dinner at my parents' place is a less than 10 minutes affair.
I don't like food, so I eat it very quickly to just get it over with. And i probably dont eat it as often as I should.
I eat a mouthful of everything in turn I.e. if I'm eating mashed potato, broccoli and sausages, I'll eat a mouthful of mashed potato, mouthful of broccoli, mouthful of sausage and so on.
I eat extremely fast. and i can't share food, theres a reason for that but thats another story. when i eat all I'm worried about is "am i going to get enough" nothing else concerns me.
First I eat the food at the bottom left of my plate then the top right then the top left then the bottom right after that I cover my plate with a napkin. I don't touch my drink until I'm finished with my meal then I drink it all and set the glass down upside down on my plate
You stole my line:roflmao: I almost hate quoting my mom, but she has pointed out that my brothers and I all have a bit of delayed gratification going on. This pertains to how I eat. I usually save some of the best for last. My standard meal (as I'm on a diet right now) is 3/4 cup of oatmeal and two boiled eggs. I eat most of the oatmeal until there is just two bites of of it left. Then I eat one egg, one bite of oatmeal, the second egg, and finally the last bite of oatmeal. The last bite of oatmeal helps to kind of keep any residue from the egg from being left in my mouth. I like eggs, but they can leave a taste behind and the last bit of oatmeal gets rid of that. And finally the most important part that I can't forget, the bowl has to go into the floor for the dog to lick. She gets very upset if she doesn't get her oatmeal. If I'm eating a "normal" meal, burger and fries, steak and potato, or whatever, I'll kind of save a bite of whatever my favorite part on the plate is for last in the same fashion as I save the eggs for last. It's not really something I mean to do, it's just what it is.
Same. My food is separated into piles. Ketchup or ranch is usually placed on/in something other than my plate. Taco shells get crushed up and stirred in meat and cheese and sour cream. I also eat fairly slow, though that is due to the fact that eating use to be painful. So I eat slowly to see if I will end up in pain, but its starting to change ad my digestive issues get better.
I'm too picky  I eat fairly quickly and save the best for last. I don't like mixing my food and tend to eat all of one thing then move on to the next, but I don't thing I'm overly weird about it.
I eat using chopsticks while wearing boxing gloves. It's very challenging and messy, but it builds character.
