mmmmm, always loved it. black is basically the only colour in my wardrobe, and my actuall dress ends up being right in between goth and punk, but that's basically for lack of being able to afford apparel and accessories that would tip the balance either way. idk the first thing about the subculture to be fair, though I should probably. guess it's time to start learning haha.

I like the really elaborate stuff. I'd never wear it myself but I really admire people who deck themselves in the full kit everyday. Especially people who make it look very elegant and not costume-y.

I'll post some examples when I find them :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I think you do  if you wanna count yourself as goth then it doesn't matter if you're cyber or not.
For myself I'm not quite sure if I'm goth, because I prefer to label myself as steampunk but because steampunk got it's links to the gothic community and I adapted some their characteristics as well, it's okay if I count myself as goth also, I guess.

Goth fashion is alright but gothic architecture is pretty nice. I'm more into video game/nerdy fashion or sweaters I love me some big sweaters. Others would probably consider me as antisocial at first opon metting me but once others get to know me I'm very nerdy and love talking about memes

  7. I love steam punk and goth fashion, but I have parental veto still active on all my clothing, and I'm still fighting with my parents to get out of the closet, so right now I'm at the point where its like, if makes my body the right shape, I'll wear it.

I don't really listen to music, but I tend to have an odd mix of what my friends call "edgy gothic-ness" blended into "hyper flamboyancy" so I don't know if that can even really translate into goth culture. I don't really pay attention to the labels too much, so I'm not sure.

The other thing I like is that "typical" goth looking boys have more of the femme-isa vibe, which is something I really like.

I love goth fashion, but when it comes to goth people themselves, I either hate them or love them. I hate the goths that are just edgy for the sake of being edgy, but I love the type of goths that tend to be creative and kind people, albeit weird and morbid.

I love the Goth style! Especially when blended with a bit of Punk, not on myself though, only on other people. I don't know any Goths, nor have I had any real encounters with Goths, so I can't say one way or the other, if i'd get along with them(generally speaking). My friend has shown me a few videos from a Goth lady on YouTube(Black Friday I think) she seems nice.

I like some goth music, like The Cure and Clan of Xymox, and the style is quite cool. I couldn't be goth myself though: I like bright colours and I'm quite optimistic.

I like the style, it looks really cool and black is my favourite colour anyway. Sometimes I look through pictures with goth styles because it's so pretty. I don't know much about being goth though.

I personally couldn't be a goth because it requires too much effort and I hate when people look at me. I wear monochrome, mostly black, colours to be a bit inconspicuous and it's also very flattering. Yet some people asked me if I was a goth before. As if wearing more black than the average person makes you a goth :icon_roll

Anyone know of a place where I can buy goth style dresses that have larger sizes? Or am I going to have to break out the sewing machine and buy some fabric?

I've checked a few places but all their stuff is too small or I read that their 2XL is actually a medium or small in the reviews. I've found that to be the case a lot of times when I search online for dresses.

I'm not sure, most clothes I buy are M or L (due to the length) and L is European 40/42 = British 12. And in that matter, I don't feel the sizes are made up

Victorian Goth here. I'm really into the fashion, but I don't have a lot of set pieces because our clothes are so dang expensive. So I only have a couple full gowns and five tops.

Yeah, I've noticed the scene barely sells closes that aren't bigger than a large. You'll most likely have to break out the sewing machine.

I think goths look cool but I don't think I would ever be goth.

So true. My Tribal Goth friend also has problems getting her outfits. Seems that unless it's churned out by Hot Topic it costs all of us an arm and a leg.

I'm probably not cool enough to be one of y'all, but I used to (and still do) wear all black on occasion. One of my classmates asked me why I liked to dress so "morbid" lol...
