I'm more sensitive to cold, but when you're cold you can put on extra layers, turn up the heating, use blankets, use hot water bottles...
If you're hot, you can turn on the AC and then...idk strip? If that doesn't solve it then you're basically fucked.

I do not deal with heat very well at all- most of my clothes are intended for the winter (and I prefer wearing baggy jumpers any day- so soft) and then when it's warm everyone's like "Oh hey! Let's have a barbecue and get invaded by wasps!" and it's hard to sleep when it's warm, I love Autumn- we have a few apple trees, and I love having comfort food- and now I'm somewhat craving apple crumble... mmn...

Plus, I love warm drinks like hot chocolate (although I have that all year around regardless, you can't stop me! :lol:slight_smile:.

I burn easily, and I have thick shoulder-length blonde hair- which is great for the winter for keeping my ears warm, but an absolute pain in the Summer. I mean, if I tie it up it gives me a headache- but if I leave it loose my neck gets too warm. :bang:

You don't really feel like eating or sleeping much when it's warm, and the sort of food people eat in the summer I don't like much. I much prefer warm comfort food and Autumn walks any day.

Spring and Autumn are my two favourite seasons. Spring because it's moderate, and Autumn because of the food.

I mean, did you see/ hear about the panic that ensued when it got warm in England recently? It all depends what you're used to.

LOL I've never heard someone put it that way, but that is essentially what they're saying

Definitely intense heat is worse for me. Intense cold is fine because more layers and more blankets will do. The worse thing is humidity, whether it's cooler or hot, I can't stand it. It literally makes me feel physically sick and the past couple days have been unbearable here.

I'm so happy for at least a little bit it's cooler and less humid:tears:

    Intense cold

I usually sleep during daytime and am awake at night. I should be used to cold weather!

I don't understand why I can tolerate intense hot weather better than intense cold weather. Maybe it's genetics or I'm a boss monster with a weakness to cold/ice magic

I wish I could tolerate both 'extremes'

I don't really like either, but I live in North England so I'm pretty used to being at least a bit cold. Also in the UK, most houses don't have air conditioning because of the generally chilly climate, and when we have a heat wave - as we did recently - we're all completely unaccustomed to it.

And, because if you're freezing then there are loads of ways to warm up. But if you're too hot, what are you supposed to do? Remove your skin?

There equally horrible in my opinion, I had the misfortune of being up in Wonowon, northern BC Canada this past winter, -35c with 45km wind working outside... and last year I was in a little place called Fox Creek in northern Alberta -42 with similar wind conditions... Doesn't matter what you put on.... It's farking Cold, you don't shut trucks off in that temperature, you idle them up and run them all night. Today at my place it got to 31c, in late August it has gets around the 40c mark... Equally uncomfortable in my opinion.

I live in the desert. I miss living where summers weren't 110F degrees, it's fucking hell.

Ask me in the summertime, and I'll say intense heat is worse.
Ask me in the wintertime, and I'll say that intense cold is worse.
Each time I go through one, I think the other can't possibly be as bad.

I hate cold weather. I am ok with 95 degree weather (as long as I can go into AC at some point) but anything under 50 degrees I hate. Intense cold like in the negatives is awful.

Insane cold? What's that? I was born in Canada.

But in all seriousness, we are going through a hot period, and I hate this. I am better at handling cold. :frowning2:

I would much rather deal with intense cold over intense heat. I can add more clothing while I can only take off but so much. I'd rather it be 30 degrees year round over 90 degrees. I hate Summer and Spring, can't wait for Fall and Winter.

    The Heat...

It doesn't only affect you : Everyone around you becomes a bit crazy, one way or another.

When it's cold, most of people remain quiet.

Now on a personal level, I find it easier to warm up than to cool off.

Heat is worse, you can only get so naked before it becomes awkward or illegal.

You can always put on another layer or set something on fire to warm up.
