According to the lyrics, it has to be:

I'm Still Here (Jim's Theme) by John Rzeznik from the film Treasure Planet.

"Fine Again" by Seether or "Colorblind" by Counting Crows if I had to name something on the spot.

It's a song you strongly identify with, specially the lyrics. A personal anthem that defines your way of understanding/seeing life.

Can't pick up mine right now...

How soon is now, by The Smiths because I am shy to the point of inconvenience but I do like to go to clubs and dance... yet I also find that depressing since it makes me accutely aware that I have no-one... and when I find someone it is so very temparory. Plus I just wish some people would stop judging me and others would give a shit about me. It rings in my head:

"Shut your mouth, how can you say,
I go about things the wrong way,
I am human and I need to be loved,
Just like everyone else does"

It strikes a chord, as do the chords (Johnny Marr is a genius) which make me dance like a mad woman and I feel quite at one with myself. And in the end it makes me happy, even though it is technically a depression fest.

My theme song would be the Zoey 101 theme.

Sounds like me. I really like Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now. During a period of my life it was basically my theme song. I would feel like shit some days and this song would pop up in my head and then I'd be walking around humming it all day. It made me feel better at the time, like I felt less lonely knowing other people feel like shit sometimes as well.

For the most fitting theme song to my life at this given time and the last year passed I'd have to go with Please Send Me Someone To Love written by Percy Mayfield, performed by Fiona Apple:

The piano alone makes my body shiver. The lyrics are like the perfect representation of how I feel. Recognizing a world in pain and wishing for a better place for us to live, but still having this need of being loved and loving someone. To me it is like the battle between the egoistic part of me who just wants happiness and love and the altruistic part of me that only wants a world at peace. It is a big part of my struggles as I oftentimes feel like I cannot have both. Because simply by recognizing the problem I am depriving myself of love because these thoughts cause me so much pain, so how can I ever be part of the solution without hurting myself?

Fiona's rendition of the song is perfect. I love her voice, not only in this song, as she always manages to pour her soul into her singing. Her singing is emotional in a way few artists singing is. It really is the icing on the cake for me with this song and it's a damn tasty cake!
