I marched in Pride!!!

    It was so empowering, so much fun, amazing day.

    Nearly a year ago, when I first started coming out, I never thought I'd be marching in a Pride parade. Today's a great day.

    I'm walking around with a rainbow bandana tied around my neck, Pride bracelets, feeling very happy.

    I did that for the first time this April, at Phoenix Pride 2016.

    I was with an LGBT gamers group, and I dressed up as Link.

    Thanks guys!! I'm feeling so good right now. I didn't expect to march today, I was thinking I'd just be watching the march. it was such an amazing thing to be walking with the whole community, showing my pride as part of the community, making noise and just saying this is who I am. :slight_smile: I really am starting to feel so much pride.

    Sandman - ended up having fun, eh? That's awesome :slight_smile:. I wish I could have stayed into the night and done the pubs and everything. The most I'd done is flirt a bit with a couple of cuties.

    I've gone to Pride multiple times, but only watched the parade once...
    Last year I had the chance that I coulda walked in it with a few members from another forum, if I had wished (but I could never take that kind of risk.. nor was I physically able due to the fact I'm old & have bad knee)
