I have been questioning my gender identity and today when at the store I told my mom I needed new underwear and since she was grocery shopping and sent me to get it I picked out boys boxer briefs since I've worn my brothers before when I've been in a rush and couldn't find mine and they are really comfortable. I am really excited to be able to wear them and have my own. I am really happy to be able to buy boys clothes though my mom has probably figured out that I'm questioning but I don't really care if she knows and I am really excited to be able to wear more male clothes. Is it weird to get really excited over getting underwear??
Totally not, because my sibling won't wear boxers because they're not comfy for said sibling and I got to get them and I was super happy. It makes me feel more comfortable with myself!
It's not unusual at all. I mean, really, it's a great first step to living as you. I used to wear boxer briefs while presenting en femme- really helps you feel a little more normal and affirmed even when you can't be open about yourself.
