Unless they were really mature for their age, I wouldn't consider anyone under the age of 25. Upper age limit, I don't really have one.

I think I'd prefer someone younger than me, but, considering my age, I don't have much wiggle room.

I guess 18 would be my limit for how young, since I'm almost 20. As for older, 22 or 23. I don't want to date someone who's much older than me. 3 years older as a limit sounds about fine.

Since I'm 16, the general rule for me is 2 years either way. I'm sure when I get older the gap will widen but when your my age dating to young is almost petifilia and dating to old is, well, illegal.

I probably wouldn't date anyone younger than 18, the oldest I would date would probably be 22.

I'm 26. My BF is 21 and he's by far the youngest person I've ever dated relative to my own age. I was actually doubtful about us because I perceived him as too young, and to be honest it sometimes is a problem to the present day.

Say, he doesn't understand the woes of living alone and having to support yourself, and sometimes won't understand that, despite the fact that I earn almost twice as much as he does, most of the time, he's the "wealthier" one by a considerable margin. (He just says that I'm a miser.)

If we separated today (hope not), then I probably wouldn't date someone younger than 22 or so, and probably no older than 30 as I don't feel too comfortable with being the younger/smaller/weaker one in the relationship.

Anything outside my decade feels weird to me right now. Above 30 would feel too old, below 20 too young.

Yes, from 24-32. I refuse to date someone younger than me. And in all honesty, I prefer dating someone that is older than me as I've always tended to be more mature for my age. I generally get along better with older people.

@26 I would date ages 23-30, its hard to say, some 23 year olds are children while some are more mature than myself. some 30 yo people look and act young and have life experience, while some could look 40 and have a failed marriage and 3 kids. So its hard to say.

I'm 28 and not really doing the dating thing right now. If I did date though, I wouldn't go younger than 20 or older than 35. I generally prefer a pretty close age similarity.

    I'd say between 24-50. (I'm 36).

Lowest for me would be 16 or 17. I definitely don't want anyone more than 2 years younger than me. Oldest? I can be more flexible. Maybe up to 25? Upper teens or lower 20's is around the age I would date someone at. Otherwise it's weird and we're probably no longer compatible.

Depends on maturity, both mental and how old they look, so to say. But about... 18-25, I'd say. Most comfortable around 19-23, probably.

As AlamoCity had stated, I do have a formula for it. I could go back through all my posts and find it because there has been another thread similar to this. But *looks over at my number of posts* it'd take a lot of time. I want to say it was [ceiling(n/2) + 8, ceiling(n/2) + 16] or something like that. I'm pretty sure that lower bound is correct but not to sure about that upper bound. Now that I think about it, it is a pretty nice formula given my current age and as of this moment it corresponds to [20, 28]. FYI: ceiling function returns the integer that is greater that or equal i.e., ceiling(24.5)=25, ceiling(23.2)=24 and so on and so forth. Without all the mathy stuff, it's +/- ~4 yrs.

At my current age, I wouldn't date anyone more than 6 months younger than me, and even then I'd be cautious. I don't mind younger people as friends or whatever, but I wouldn't date them. Then again, I am only 18 so exact age probably won't be as important later on, and I might extend it to a year... Who knows. I don't think I'd ever go for anybody younger than me by anymore than 12-18 months.

As for older... I'd be comfortable with anything up to a 2-3 year gap, but I don't think I'd go beyond that.

Basically: at 18 years old myself, probably 17.5-21.

I'm in my 50's and so is my partner. I think she would be comfortable dating anyone 18+ but I feel like I couldn't go any younger than 5 years my junior and 15 years my senior. I do tend to prefer older women, though. She is older than me, but not by a lot. Then again, it would totally depend upon the person. I was a punk in my 20's but I know a lot of 20-somethings who are wise and mature beyond their years. So, don't listen to me. I don't know anything.

I would not date anyone younger than me (I'm 16) whether it's 1 week younger or 1 year younger and I would go up to 18.

At this age, I imagine 2 years apart in either direction would be my limit. My boyfriend is a little over a half a year older than I am.

I won't go under 21 but I don't mind older, my last boyfriend was 11 years older than me.
