    Anybody else here have fond memories of playing The Oregon Trail as a kid? Just thought I'd ask this, especially since the game is particularly important to me since I'm from Oregon.

    I installed it once, but as soon as I did, it gave my PC dysentery, so I had to uninstall it.

    I just spit out my drink LOL.

    @OP yeah I used to play it all the time in elementary school. We had it in class and for some reason they let us play it.

    Oh, I used to play that. My sister and I liked naming the characters as people we dislike (like mean teachers) and then trying to kill them off first. :lol:

    I wish we still had that game. ^^

    My computer classes final assignment was to code a mock version of the game.. I wound up just dicking around and ended up completing the assignment last minute.

    Haven't played it in years, but Organ Trail is probably my favorite. I think you can still find it online, and it's a fun time.

    There was a website that had the original free to play, along with a ton of old Apple 2 and DOS games. I don't remember the site though. I used to play Wasteland on it.

    You win. lol

    It was a great game, and it taught me that money fixes most problems. Cause if you played the banker you could afford more supplies.

    My parents couldn't afford that kind of stuff, so even though it was popular at the time, I just pretended I didn't like it XD;;;; I did get "The Amazon Trail: Rainforest Adventures" in a cereal box *years* later and that was cool~ You got to throw stick things at fish and catch them for food~~

    Where is the Amazon Trails love? XD;;;;;;;;;

    I'm not the only one who played that shit? Mind. Blown. Anyone remember giving the colonial asshole an herbal laxative as a fuck you?

    -

    I have fond memories of naming my caravan of travelers doofy, stupid names ("Sir Reg", "Shitheel" and "Bob") and watching as dysentery and chloria picked them off one by one. I didn't usually make it to the end all that often.

    I do that too. I usually make it to Oregon, though. Probably cause I'm really good at the game. Also, I have Oregon Trail II, which lets you also go to California, Salt Lake City, and Jacksonville. I've made it successfully to all destinations from all four starting towns.

    There's this one YouTuber, Tatsuhiko, who has done many Oregon Trail II let's plays. He always names his 4 party members "Bitch", "Jerkface", "Asshole", and "Bob", in that order. :slight_smile:
