After a lifetime of not touching the violin, I picked it up today for a quick round. I was pleasantly surprised to see that I can still play it pretty well.

I have two cigarettes and then I am never buying another pack again (and converting fully over to vape). Oh man, I know this is good for me, and I genuinely want to quit, but I won't deny I'm apprehensive.

Well this is embarrassing. My boss and I were texting about a new-ish employee and we both called him "Ahmed" and it's "Hameed."

I wonder why I always get a bit introspective when my birthday is near. Constant confusion by getting a year older maybe? I'm not sure.

You think all Middle Eastern names are the same? Racist! :icon_wink

At least your name isn't Miles and your co-worker was calling you "Juan". I was like "is it cause I'm Mexican?!"

It's now been medically diagnosed: I'm full of shit.

Drank the concoction of Miralax, Milk of Magnesia, and prune juice they told me to.

Sorry to hear that. I've been in that position before (and it is not pretty). Metamucil seemed to work for me, though Miralax is also a good one. Good luck!

Dad sent me a prepaid visa for Christmas. It's nice, but I have a chronic fear of using gift cards, so I'll probably have to swap its worth for someone with cash. Either that or $75 worth is going to be sitting in my wallet for a long time. lol

When I'm making art and I make mistakes like this is when I'm so glad I discovered the "Layers" tool in GIMP. If I was still doing this the old way it would take me hours to fix. Now it'll take me all of half an hour. Maybe.

Also I really wish someone would point me in the direction of some good Italian music. Made a thread about it but don't think anybody saw it. I don't know where to start looking and it sucks.

I forgot to remember the rule of not reading comment sections for videos/articles/whatever of anything related to LGBT* topics.

For what it's worth, both of those names contain exactly the same types of letters: A, H, M, E, D. It can cause brain confusion at times. What's sad is that she used his name, then I repeated it and didn't catch it.

But, he was going through a name change from a very Muslim name to a less Muslim name (I also handle HR hire paperwork) so maybe we both got confused because of that, though his former name was not Ahmed.

Ah, the privilege of just being "Paul" in the west.
