Am I the only one here who wishes dearly that at anytime, of any day, I can just hop on, and be able to start a full on conversation? I know I just posted like, 6 minutes ago, but I'm as impatient as I am hyper (AdHd :3), and I just couldn't stop myself from posting this XD
Like are you saying you wish people would make convos and reply more often then they do as of right now? If so I do too as I love forums.
I too am impatient and hate that I am always checking on replies and views on my threads. Especially when I posted about my problems... then I am hoping that my life issues are making me popular and thats sad. Anyway, I know what you mean. -Ky
One thing that I think we're very hopeful about is that when we move to the new platform, the new chat platform will be a lot more accessible (for one thing, it will work with pretty much all mobile devices), and a lot more robust (handling up to several hundred users at once.) So that may provide more opportunity for real-time conversation. But I think GlowingEyes makes a good point as well... once you get used to the asynchronous nature of the threaded discussions, it's actually pretty cool because you can get a lot of input from many people over time. So I think both serve their purposes.
And also because there are members from all over the world here, there will always be a member online for sure, posting in threads. The beauty of Timezones.
You're definitely not the only one! XD In fact with me I worry more if people won't answer *because* I'm posting about a problem I have, rather than making smalltalk.
YES all the time! Then I usually end up calling my friend at 10:30 on a Sunday asking to hangout right this instance.
I am the same but I think deep down for me its to compensate for the lack of friends and social skills I posses..
I don't post a huge amount, but I am always checking threads to see if there are any new posts to read.
