I LOVE gender neutral bathrooms. I am cisgender, so gendered bathrooms don't bother me too much, but I think that if it doesn't hurt me, and it helps someone else, surely it's worthwhile.

To put it simply, I do not care about it at all.

Most bathrooms in parks (that I've come across) here are 'gender neutral'. That is to say, they're a single stall and a couple of urinals. Japan is woefully ignorant about MOGAI issues, but no one cares about the bathrooms. It's awesome and I wish that there were gender neutral bathrooms everywhere!

For my experience, I don't pass either way when I'm wearing a binder (for the most part, I think). So public bathrooms are always really anxiety inducing for me. In Canada, I'm afriad of getting attacked if I go in the men's. In Japan, not so much, but I'm afraid of someone calling the cops and getting kicked out of the country. :/ Gender neutral bathrooms are just way easier to navigate, stress-wise.

I don't really care much either to be honest sorry guys. Although I do think we need to expand family bathrooms which are essentially gender-neutral bathrooms.

But then what would Republicans have to waste time and money on?

    This ^^
The only thing is I do get worried that there will be a creepy guy who just takes advantage of it to look at girls...that's the only concern I have

    I'm against them:

    1. I would not really want to share a toilet with the opposite sex
    2. It would be impractical to do so (women have different needs, hence take longer)
    3. Separate gender neutral toilets would probably reduce the size allotted for binary/disabled toilets

Really I think the easiest answer is to just allow non-binary people to use existing disabled toilets (which are already gender neutral).

And it is a balance at the end of the day.

I certainly get how a gender neutral bathroom might make a non-binary person more comfortable in their gender, however many cis people also feel more comfortable in their gender in same-sex toilets. So I don't see how removing binary toilets promotes comfort in gender, not for the majority of users.

I agree that this would be a problem if it happened...but there have been no reported cases of it happening, and many reported cases of trans (and non-binary) people being harassed. I think that if gender neutral bathrooms were a thing, there couldn't even be an option to create bathroom bills. Which would make the world a better place.

There are a lot of binary people who would feel more comfortable in gender neutral bathroom as well

Quite some bars and clubs here in Berlin have gender neutral bathrooms and it works great.

I don't see why this could be an issue. It's a fucking toilet. You go in there to do what you have to do and that's it. It should not matter who you share it with, as long as it's someone who doesn't smear their poop on the walls.

    Valid argument. Oh wait.

Main objection to em are "we're letting pedos snatch our daughters" arguments made from baseless assumptions. I'm sorry the trans community has to deal with that crap. They just wanna live their lives and many people you'd be surprised to find out they're trans. Regardless what happened to treating people based on their character assuming that ever was a thing.

Me personally my goal is to get in, make no eye contact, do my business, then get out. I'm more afraid of piss being everywhere because people apparently can't aim or a sewer smell.

There have been bathrooms that both genders can use at tons of places for awhile now so I don't see why some people are against it.

The only thing I know of is that some women think that the guys are going to do stuff to them but if they really wanted to that bad they could easily walk in to a womens bathroom too. Changing who can go in there isn't going to make it happen.

Oh by the way guys does your school's bathroom (for men) have walls separating the urinals? Mine doesn't and that is why I don't like to go to the bathroom as I don't want anyone seeing my junk >.>

I wish there would be more gender neutral bathrooms. At my school if your trans they kind of expect you to suck it up and not say anything which is really terrible. It's part of the reason that it is so difficult for me to come out. Everything seems to be based around a gender binary so it would be nice to get some type of recognition, even if it is just a neutral bathroom.

I've met very few guys who think this way. It always confused me, how can so many stand lined up by eachother? Like, if you watch a few movies you'll see it 'course they won't show anything but you get the idea. It's beyond my current level of comprehension.

I fully support non-gendered bathrooms and I think the current system feels a bit like segregation.
