My husband and I deleted our Facebook accounts 2 years ago because the drama created by "friends" was causing friction between us. I'd be annoyed because some guy was flirting with him, he got annoyed because his ex friended me and I accepted him...IDK, it was ridiculous. There are enough sources of friction in the real world without inviting more. And we were spending too much time isolated from each other online when we should have been doing things together.

We don't miss it at all...the real friends are still around...the "drama friends" are long gone and we're fine.

I never deleted my Facebook but I did deactivate it several times in the past. It worked out pretty well; sometimes I just need a break from it and I was able to do that. I just kept in contact with my friends via text and all. I don't like using it that much but I do need it sometimes to connect with people so it's fine. If it's becoming a distraction I either temporarily deactivate it or just log out.

No way I'm ever getting rid of it. I have so many friends and relatives living far away and it makes it so much easier to keep in touch

Come to think of it a couple of years ago I made a couple accounts on there but for the life of me I can't remember them and I haven't used them since.

I've deactivated my fb a couple of times but everytime I did I always felt out of the loop about everything cuz that's where I see news since I don't really even turn on my tv most days. It's currently activated.

This, my friend, this. I also use as a garbage for my nerdy junk. If I draw a picture, or it is some kind of nerdy holiday, or I have an interesting fact to share, I put it in Facebook, and get 2 or 3 likes and few comments, usually by the same people, and sometimes spam. I don't check my notifications anymore, and I barely scroll down the feed, for reasons you just mentioned. Favebook's dead for kids my age anyway, I mostly for the over 30 crowd now. My parents use it on a daily basis, I mean. I heard it might loose 90% of it's users by the end of 2017. So long Facebook, then, going the same way that MySpace did. You were a good experiment in social media....I guess.

I'll probably never get rid of my Facebook. It's my main way of staying in contact with friends and family, especially since I refuse to use the cancer that is snapchat and instagram.
Really, if you have an issue with something that pops up on your Facebook all you have to do is unfollow page or person.

Its also how I get my news since I'm to poor to afford satellite or cable.

I've never had social media.. I only want FB so I can start up my FtM teen group. Not really into the whole social media thing TBH.

I don't use it much at all. It has some convenient aspects, but mostly it's a platform for people to remain in their adolescent or young adult years forever, based on the immaturity on display.

I'll log out of my social media accounts and also never store the passwords during my examination and pre-examination period. If not, I won't study and always keep using my accounts.

It was helpful to me because when I click the link to the social media page, it prompts me to log in and I will not bother to log in (due to my complicated password) and go back to studying again.

I never suffered from that social disease anyway. Facebook is a bloody disorder.

I need facebook to keep in touch with friends since I moved away. I'm not a phone person and I'm not even sure all my friends own one. (I'm also terrible at texting)

I also enjoy reading the political posts of my friends on there. They have nice ideas. Honestly, I never had a problem with facebook. I don't add people I don't know and I also don't spend much time on it.

I only got an FB account to play an online game with somebody a few years ago. I haven't used it since.
