I'd go as far to say I'm never attracted to feminine guys. The feminine guys I know have been some of the worst, most self-centred, arrogant, brainless idiots I've ever met. I know everyone has their own preferences and people, for the most part, are allowed to be who they want to be, but femininity is a huge turn off for me. I don't like the 'gay wrist' or the whiny voice, or the snotty attitude and dirty looks. I prefer a nice, built, intelligent guy, whose sexuality doesn't make up his whole personality, but instead is only a minor part of his identity. I'd rather keep my relationship and private life to myself, and with a feminine boyfriend/whatever, I wouldn't be able to do this, so no, I don't find feminine guys attractive. I know this might sound really offensive to fem guys/that I'm extremely insecure about what people think of me, but I'm quite upfront with people and like to keep my private life private, so I believe that what I've just written is reflective of that.

Yeah, basically as long as the guy's nice and level-headed I'm game. I prefer hair and beef on my guys but I've been known to fall for twinks before.

Almost never. If anything, I find it an active turn-off. It does absolutely nothing for me. If I see a guy that I find attractive, but they open their mouth and sound like Perez Hilton, that attraction will disappear almost instantly.

No, I'm not attracted to femininity.

I consider myself to be on the masculine side and I'm attracted to guys who are on a similar level of masculinity. I don't mind if he's a little feminine, but if he's talking behind people's backs, obsessing over fashion and is over all acting like a high school girl, then I'm completely uninterested.

I'm noticing most who answer yes seem to be bisexual, where as the trend for gays seems to lean more towards masculine men....

    Just an interesting observation.

There are a few gay men who are into feminine guys, but they tend to be more quiet about it, lest their gay card get revoked.

Those into "non-traditional" guys tend to be labeled as chasers and fetishists. I wish there were an equivalent for the love for butches in lesbian circles, but alas...

I don't mind a little feminine. I wouldn't however like to have a boyfriend who was stereotypically "girly" in a way that they are scared of bugs or breaking their nails. I would prefer my partner to be active like me as well as adventurous and sporty. Then I don't mind if they wear some makeup or some nail polish, though I do prefer masculine bodily features. I do however kinda like the juxtaposition of muscular men wearing stuff like nail polish or a little makeup. I find it hot.

I think its because this forum isn't representative of the gay population.. It is common for people on this forum to be closeted or struggle coming to terms with their sexuality so they are more likely to have internalised homophobia.

I'm completely out and open and just don't prefer feminine guys. I like guys to be regular guys and not "girly" at all. If I was into feminine characteristics I'd date women, lol. I don't really think it has much to do with internalized homophobia but just preference.

Is it this forum, specifically? Because almost every place I've gone, it's the same thing. It's funny: in straight couples, you see opposites attract. Masculine, feminine, usually, but in gay male communities, you basically see masc masc as being ideal. Meanwhile, those who exhibit feminine traits complain about being single while at the same time spurning anyone who doesn't live up to their high standards.

Makes me think that maybe those who aren't into femmes are femme, themself?

    Helllll yes <3
I guess I'm a pretty feminine person. I tend to find a mix of masculinity and femininity really attractive.
