I quite like the idea of those eco-friendly urns where your ashes are buried mixed with seeds or something, and a tree grows out of your ashes. Of course, I would want any usable organs to be donated if possible before being cremated.

Already registered as an organ donor, so that's one thing.

Whatever's left of me after that, I want a viking funeral.

Whatever my family want. I'll be dead, and dead people tend not to be very bothered about what happens to them, so I'll let my surviving family choose.

There's something unsettling to me about being buried, rotting in a box underground. Cemeteries disturb me and always have. I do not think I would want to be buried.

I would probably rather be cremated and have my ashes scattered somewhere in Nevada, somewhere that's beautiful and really important to me, like Mt. Rose or Lake Tahoe.

I'll be dead so it really doesn't affect me. My friends and family can find the cheapest way to dispose of a human body for all I care.

I'm an organ donor... so if that helps at all...

Otherwise, I'm going to second what everyone has been saying about the Bio-urn. There's something about my death giving life to something new and helping the environment that sounds nice. Plus my kids/grandkids whatever can visit me as a tree LoL

Um... I think I'll just be buried normally. ^^

But if I'm dead, I guess it doesn't really matter?

I've got my donor card. Other than that, well, I guess you could bury me in satin, lay me down on a bed of roses, sink me in a river at dawn and send me away with the words of a love song. srsly tho, likely cremation. then any loved ones I might have can keep the ashes or bury them.

This!!! This is exactly how I feel about being buried. It's funny, I'm not squeamish, or afraid of the supernatural (ghosts in this case), but I'm really freaked out by corpses and I don't much like the idea of being one for a long period of time; I'd rather have my ashes scattered in the sea. Unless that would be harmful to the sea creatures, in which case, I'd want them scattered in the wind or buried with a plant.

In relation to my organs... Is it selfish that I don't want to be an organ donor? It's probably a stupid, sentimental feeling on my part because I know I'd be dead and wouldn't care, but in life I don't much care for the thought of my body being mutilated. Maybe I'll change my mind, though.

(Besides, I'm already a blood donor. That's my good deed or whatever.)

I want my organs donated and the rest of me turned into compost. Between helping grow new life and making some worms fat and happy, the idea seems nice to think of.

USE MY BODY AS COMPOST!!! Honestly, I could never be a donor just because you have to be super recently dead, and to me that just feels too sketchy. X_X I want my death to be as painless as possible.

I want to be cremated, and I think it would be really cool to be able to fertilize a tree if that option is available. Oh and I am a registered organ donor.

I like this idea. But for some reason, I've got my heart set on being turned into a box of pencils. It's odd, but it's hilarious to think about actually doing that. Here's a few other ideas I found that are definitely "out of the box" (pun intended), including the pencil idea.

I want to be donated to medical science. Like any organs that can be donated, donate. Use my skin for grafts. Use my bones for transplants (yes, that's a thing!). If that can't be done, then I'd rather be a medical school cadaver or research subject than rot in the ground.

My wife wants a sample of brain tissue to be cremated for her to keep. Just enough to put into a small vial that she can carry around. I think that's a great idea too.
