So I am no Virginia, and have enjoyed receptive anal sex for a few years now with a few different partners. I went out with someone new on Saturday, he was in town for a conference and lives about 2 hours away. He's a married daddie type, and very safe/clean from what he says. We had a long, vigorous session, and used protection. All seemed fine, yes there was some pain but not enough to stop. Now, 4 days later I feel raw back there, and chaffed. I started getting paranoid, thinking it's possibly herpes. I called him and he assured me he is clean/recently tested. He thinks he just probably plowed the hell outta me...I hope that's it.

I've never really had this happen before though, and I'm kinda freaked out. I have no blood, but bowel movements do hurt a bit, and using TP is definitely not fun. Could it just be rub burns that are slow to heal due to locatoon, or fissures? My ass looks OK, seems to be scabing up a bit though from what I see while cleaning.

I got some preparation h and alcohol free wipes tonight. I pray this clears up :frowning2:

I'm no expert but it does sound like the area is most likely just irritated/inflamed. After all, the anal region is quite sensitive and delicate and can tear rather easily. It should heal up on its own and the Preparation H should help as well. Next time I would double up on lube though, lol.

Use then Prep H for a few days and I would imagine you will be ok

If in doubt, consult your physician. Internet is not the place to seek medical advice to acute medical issues.

Thanks for the good feedback y'all. I notice it definitely feels better when I wake up in the morning, but showering irritates it again...like it was healing. The prep H definitely helps the uncomfort factor. I thought of going to the Doc this morning, just for piece of mind but may wait until Monday to see if it improves.

Is it possible it's just chaffing from the heat? I see you're from Florida, we get hot here in this state. It could be heat rash

I had an upset stomach for a few days after...hard to say now what's going on. Spoke with my partner and he continued to assure me he is totally clean...and I'm fine. I went to the ER because I was so nervous. Doc definitely said I'm irritated, no fissures or hemorrhoids though. I'm going to make an appointment with the STD clinic Monday. Doc did say, "if it IS genital herpes it is very mild which is rare in an initial outbreak ". That didn't make me feel better....gotta wait for the specialist. Studying for a chem final will not come easy this weekend that's for sure...

Feeling very sad, lonely, and scared today. Thinking about the possibility of having genital herpes and what that will mean for the rest of my life :frowning2:

Did you use enough lubrication? Because for the kind of sex you describe, a lubricated condom definitely isn't enough.

I can imagine how scary this must be, but if, as you say, he's married...it seems unlikely that he'd have an STD and not know about it. Especially something like genital herpes.

Keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well!

Thanks for the positive replies y'all, I really appreciate it. I don't think we used enough lube, and it was a pretty long session. I talk to my partner everyday, he is being very supportive and adamant that he is not infected with herpes. I went back to the ER and the doc still can't diagnose it. He thinks it doesn't clearly resemble herpes, but he's not a specialist. I was treated for chlamydia and gonorrhea on the spot first safe measures, blood samples taken for Herpes and HIV test. I'll be making an appointment with the specialist tomorrow.
This does really suck! I have so much fear about it, and what a positive Herpes result will mean for my life. I am trying to stay positive, two doctors have checked me out and haven't been able to say "yup, definitely the herp". Fingers crossed!

Went to the specialist, he says it doesn't look like herpes. Looks like an allergic reaction to the condom or lubricant. Gothe swabbed so it can be tested. Hoping I'm good to go. I feel way better! Was able to eat tonight!

I'm just now reading this, but from the initial post, I was going to tell you that it sounded like you might have had an allergic reaction to something there.

Any more update, are you doing better now?

You might think about talking with you doctor and see about being tested for a latex allergy. That would be something very serious you'd need to know about.
