And how many times? So far I have been mistaken for a girl on 4 different occasions. XD Feel free to tell your stories about those moments too. Mine were kind of funny and I might put them here later.

When I was 12 (or younger) and answered the phone, many times.

When I was a little younger I was mistaken for my mother a few times on the phone. Now I get mistaken for my dad.

Not as far as I am aware. Although I did play with a baby doll when I was very young (but my parents soon put a stop to that! :rolleyes:slight_smile:.

Same. I had a very high-pitched and effeminate sounding voice as a kid, especially as a tween. Got mistaken for a girl on the phone many times. People telling my mom they "had just spoken to your daughter" referring to me was fairly embarrassing. After puberty though I never had any issue of being mistaken for the other gender. My physical appearance has always been unambiguously male.

  7. When I had long hair, yes...

A friend and I were chasing after a dog who ran off from it's owner so we could take it back. Wouldn't mind, but the lady said "Thank you so much, girls!"

The shock on her face when I said "I'm a boy" was probably the highlight of my life. :roflmao:

I had a feeling a lot of peoples' answers would be "phone calls as a young kid". XD Well I have long-ish hair and I don't have really masculine facial features, so I guess I understand it. But um... flat chest, anyone?

Here are two of the moments where I was mistaken for a girl. The other two are a bit harder to explain.

    1. My mom, sister, and I were going into a restaurant. Apparently this woman noticed me and thought I was a girl... until she heard me talk. Then my mom heard the woman quietly say "That's a guy?" to someone she was sitting with, and I didn't even know about it until my mom told me. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

    2. My female friend and I were sitting on the sidewalk as we were waiting for her mom and uncle to pick us up after the 2nd day of Comic-Con. My friend was cosplaying John Egbert and I was cosplaying Karkat Vantas, both from Homestuck. These two guys who weren't Comic-Con-goers approached us from the side as we were facing the street. One of the guys (who was very feminine) said "You ladies are looking beautiful tonight" and I almost died. There was more that happened afterwards but that's another story.

People have told me I look feminine or look like a girl, but never actually mistaken me for one. I honestly take it as a huge compliment.

From strangers, not that much, to be honest, even before transitioning. I always looked like a young guy, so people always referred to me as such. Though, some old people do call me ''she'' because I have long hair xD

Yes, whenever I go cleanshaven it seems to happen rather often. Gives me the impression that I could pass if I ever decided to really try to.

When I had long hair, yea, a few times. I used to have long hair down to my shoulders in middle school. Dark times those were...

Moreso now than when I was younger. It's pretty embarrassing, but I can't help it.
