Socks and sandals shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence, much less be seen worn together. Sports sandals shouldn't be mentioned at all, unless one is in a locker room trying to avoid athletes' foot.

I usually wear sandals or shoes. Sometimes if it's cold and I can only find my sandals I wear socks.

It took me until I was about... actually probably only last year to start thinking about my appearance lol, I still don't care about what I wear as long as I feel comfortable and it expresses myself XD

Pretty bad in my opinion. I've never had much of a fashion sense but even I know socks and sandals is to be avoided.

Haha, this made me actually lol. HIS P R O M!!!!

But what is the point of wearing both together? If it's because it's cold, wet etc then put shoes or boots on. If it's because your feet are disgusting, then sort your feet out.

It's kind of a big "nah" for me. I love sandals, but it's socks off when I rock me sandals. ^_^

It's an abomination. But if you're wearing crocs and socks then I want you off my planet.

Wearing socks and sandals is pretty German thing to do - at least when on a holiday.

You know what, I think its perfectly fine. I mean, sandals are the best thing ever, but when it gets too cold to juts wear them, you can wear a cool pair of socks.... AND ACTUALLY SHOW OFF THE COOL SOCKS.

Short answer: No. Long answer: HELL NO!

Seriously my dad does that and while I love him, it's the epitome of cringe

    Bob is cool.

    Bob wears socks.

    Bob also wears sandals.

But Bob has some common sense, and does not wear socks and sandals together.

    Be cool. Be like Bob.

It's very practical: you keep your feet cool but avoid harmful rays from the sun without having to wear suncream! Plus, you can have colourful socks.
I haven't done it (I tend to wear lightweight trainers in summer unless it's scorching) but it doesn't bother me when people do.

I don't have much of an issue with it. I don't go for the look myself as I don't own any sandals, but I'd rather see people wearing socks and sandals than just sandals because feet are disgusting and weird. I don't like seeing feet all exposed.

My sister would definitely agree with you there. (When you really look at them, feet do look bizarre.)

It's impractical. You can't really do anything in sandals, they really only serve a purpose if it's hot, so wearing socks defeats that purpose. It's just ridiculous.

Not gonna lie, I'm pretty disappointed in the poll results :frowning2:

Socks and sandals are so cool!
    • you get to show off your socks!
    • you get the freedom of sandals!
    • you don't have to make your feet look nice!
    • your feet stay cool!
    • when it gets cold, you've still got sock protection!
    • your sandals don't get grungey from dirty, sweaty feet
    • no sandal tan! (you do get a sock-line tan but those are way funnier than sandal tans)

Also this. Slipping on sandals after being on your feet all day at work is just bliss.

Seems alright to me, it's really pretty practical.
But I'm in boots all year long so maybe I'm just uneducated in the sandal/sock combo struggles...(*^∀゚)ъ
Nor do i pay much attention to people's feet whilst out and about so......
    I'm indifferent.
