    I would like both.

While I could live without marriage, I don't think I could live without having kids. I want to pass on my knowledge to a being who I could help become a critical thinker. I would like to share moments of my life with them. I would feel empty if I don't have children. I'm already doing sacrifices so I can make this dream come true. I'm not having a hysterectomy for this very reason, despite wanting to be rid of the thing as fast as possible. This way, I can keep my options open.

Scientifically speaking a person's most primitive purpose is to reproduce and pass on their genes to their offspring.

In fact humans and dolphins are the only mammals to have non-procreative sex.

I do agree with the statement that there are other ways to find meaning in life. I personally wish to one day combat climate change and global warming. Perhaps through political or entrepreneurial means.

Due to the "progressive" western civilizations/countries childbirth has become less important and economic and social success has become more important than reproductive success. This is likely due to a more egocentric attitude among residents of highly developed countries.

A prime example of this is Germany or Japan. Both of these countries are loosing their working class population because people aren't having children. In fact, Germany is paying people to have children and offering huge tax breaks. Additionally, Germany is taking in large amounts of Syrian refugees to stimulate economic growth by increasing the "working age" population. Both of these countries are facing stale economic growth, with Japan's GDP growth rate being negative. So I guess I could be more economically responsible to have children.:icon_wink

Of course this can't be blamed on any individual; it is simply one of the complexities of human nature.

I can't say that I'm crazy about kids now but I would love to have some in the future. That is, assuming my spouse wants children too but that conversation will happen when the time comes about.

I wouldn't mind getting married later on but I don't think I want kids.

I'm not interested in having kids, I work everyday of the week and I just don't think that it would be right to have a child knowing that I wouldn't be able to give them the attention they deserve.

Asexuality and aromanticism aside, I think I would do a terrible job of raising a child. I mean, hell, I can't even take care of myself! And I'm honestly not the best with commitment. I wouldn't want to ruin a child's life with my irresponsibility. I'd best stay away from all things child-rearing.

Although...I could be that aunt that spoils all your kids and teaches them useful useless things...

I'm bi, getting divorced and have two children.

I'm not interested in doing either again as my kids are all I need.

    Happy days

When I was younger I always thought about getting married and having kids; twins most likely given my family history.
As I got older children became this thing I dreaded, but as a "straight female" my Christian duty was to marry a man who was good for the family and help spread his genes (my grandma's way of thinking)

The birth if my nephew made me realize I did not want kids. I fear pregnancy and am not a fan of pain. I also do not have the temperament and patience to raise a child.
I am aware that could change, but I doubt it.

As for marriage. It was only recently that I realized that I don't really wish to marry. I will if my SO wants to, but its not all that important to me.
Boyfriend, love, and furrbabies. All that I need for a family.

My husband and I have an amazing 5 month old daughter (my biological child through surrogacy) and want eventually to have another...babies are hard work, but it's sooo worth it.

I really have no desire to have children, ESPECIALLY if they are my biological children. I don't want the hassle of babies or the burden of young children. I there are parts of me that I would not want to pass along to a child, for the sake of the child themselves.

A long-term/forever relationship would be nice... but actual marriage by legal definition I wouldn't want to go for.

    And kids: Never

this point in life question is retarded.
nature programmed living things to reproduce but since your question is aimed at gay men it loses its meaning entirely.

^ wat... (not really, since not everyone wants kids or can have them biologically, and your sexuality, as well as ability to conceive, doesn't change that you are a living thing...also r-word? Really?)

I'm indifferent to marriage. I'm definitely adopting. I would never conceive a child personally. I have an amazing family and I want to continue it!

I want to have children once I got set up and me/my partner has a good job to support a family my parents and they admit it had me and my siblings too early and we have money issues so much from not having enough food to not having enough gas money to places. Now please don't feel sorry for me life is great and I don't want anyone to feel sorry for me.
