Hello my adorable llamas (yes I'm still calling y'all that) I'm jist posting this thread to see if anyone here was ever in choir and orchestra. My older brother plays Alto sax and guitar, my older sister plays clarinet and the oboe. I use to play the cello.. but being a lefty.. I had some complications. I now play guitar ( electric ) but my I always have a mushy spot for orchestra instruments and now I think I wanna play the upright bass.. if they make any for lefties. Ciao. ;-D(!)(!)(!)
Not orchestra (my school didn't have an orchestra), but I played bass drum in both marching and concert band. I was actually the drum section leader in my senior year.
Then do it. I myself have been in band since I was 9. I played the trumpet, but I stopped as I started college. I want to get back to playing. I also played French horn briefly. I would like to someday be able to pick both of those back up again. Maybe when I have a job that pays me enough I can take the time to pick them back up. Music FTW
Orchestra and choir! Choir since around 3rd grade, so a long time. And Orchestra around 4th grade was when I started Still in both. (I play violin in Orchestra and take piano lessons.)
I never had the opportunity to be in orchestra, but in junior high and high school I was in marching/concert band. I played a few instruments: trumpet, trombone, and snare/bass drum. Trombone was what I played the most though. I miss it sometimes but I just wouldn't be able to meet the demands of the marching band at my university. Especially since it prides itself on being one of the best in the state. I might start playing in my off time though, and I've always wanted to learn how to play the bass. If you want to play an instrument, I'd say go for it. Music has been one of the only things that got me through tougher aspects of my life.
