I also found your attack on Kinky highly questionable for someone who comes across as a Sanders fanatic, a bloke who keeps insisting that he brings people together. I disagree with the term 'animals' being used especially since I've seen hogs with better manners. No one said anything about blacks. Simply saying that there are a LOT of blacks and Hispanics in Chicago also does not cut it. Most people attending were Hispanic, white and black. Putting labels just to spin the whole thing to make someone look bad is just sad.

Secondly, Donald Trump and his supporters are not fascists. Maybe you should google the word and listen to his rally speeches before unleashing all that righteous fury. Anyone applauding this mess, or calling it heroic is beyond delusional. You didn't sink to the level of Trump supporters (or the way you perceive them from your POV that is) but went way below that.

Your uber-defensive attitude is just indicative that you cannot legitimately defend what happened. None of those who attended could give a reasonable answer for what they did. The perception there (and also here...) is that ... hey! Let's get several thousand people to disrupt a Donald Trump rally!.

Also the people who organized this are extremely dumb. The people applauding it are hardly any better either and I'll tell you why. They're / you're probably feeling self-entitled and smug after having (again from your POV) bested Trump. Trump was supposed to give a speech in Chicago. With your help he gave not a speech in his rally which was limited about 20,000 people but instead outlined the speech he was supposed to deliver in all major news networks and given a LOT of air-time. His speech was delivered ''internationally'' literally. And the international community didn't find that ''heroic''.

His decision to cancel shows that he cares enough for the people and take decisions he wouldn't want. He delivered speeches in Ohio despite renewed protesters attacking him and he's about to deliver a speech in Cleveland. He's a real leader, unlike that scarecrow who appears to have brainwashed you into thinking that rioting and protesting is cool. I'm actually very surprised no one was grievously hurt. You don't seem to care about that though.

And that isn't what happened. He chose to end the rally of his own accord.

People have a right to protest and they have a right to counter-protest. They don't have a right to get violent, and that's where the problems started on BOTH sides. But the protest itself was not illegal.

 

How bout we all agree to disagree and just move on with our lives.

 

Whether your a democrat or a republican or a moderate i think any reasonable and intelligent person can agree that Trump's rallies are anything but civil and has no dignity. Freedom of speech also means the right to protest. The violence on both sides is uncalled for and as much as I would hate to say it Trump is increasing the the odds of himself getting shot for all the stuff that comes out of his mouth. Most politicians or civilized people ignore the protesters and continue their speeches but Trump wastes half his time taunting those who oppose him. I wonder if the mental hospitals are missing residents or if people have just gone insane for Trump. A president needs to hold himself with dignity and Trump is far from a dignified human being.

 

Like I tell my students, vote for whoever you want, but make a smart choice.

Almost every republican candidate has said he is batshit insane and a disgrace to the party.

 

The objective was to try and shut it down though they didn't think it was manageable - so instead they tried to merely disrupt it as much as possible. Look how that turned out:

Again I say that celebrating what happened yesterday is a very bad showing especially as the protesters were violent. This morning Trump was attacked (it didn't work) in Ohio by a loyal Bernie Sanders protester who features in ISIS propaganda videos. He's also part of BLM.

The guy deleted his youtube account in an attempt to cover his tracks but it didn't work as there was a copy in circulation.
