I am a gigantic nerd. Being a nerd is not a bad thing, it's fun actually. Being a nerd just means you obsess over things much too much, program, do math, or some other nerdy thing. I am a nerd. A gigantic nerd. (as I already said xD) who else is? You can also say: "I am a geek." or: "I am not a nerd." Just do what ya like. We're all friends here! (&&&)
I'm interested in traditional academic subjects like Maths and English, I spend a lot of time in libraries, I care lots about getting good grades, so yes, I'm a nerd.
I sort of have an obsession with old age pixel art and chiptunes, if that counts. Also love sci-fi and space age themes when they're done right.
*slowly raises hand* I'm definitely a nerd. I cling on to things that I find really appealing and I cling on tightly (prime examples being my current thing with Undertale, and my thing with The Nightmare Before Christmas that has been going on since I was 12). I also am part of a club in my school that only exists for the purpose of playing games together (mostly card games and tabletop RPGs) and I am involved in two Dungeons and Dragons groups. On top of that, I'm really interested in psychology, astronomy, and programming. ...I'm also a major advocate for the oxford comma but no one really cares about that
Essentially this. Also, I do enjoy my SciFi (Star Trek and Doctor Who particularly). In terms of difference between geek/nerd (of which there does exist one) I could be classified as a "geeky nerd." So at the core I'm an old-fashioned nerd, but I have a geek streak for sure.
Im a nerd. I like science and some math. Other than that I hate math. And hopefully if I can get a scholarship or something to go to college, I plan on going into nuclear physics. And just other stuff. Like anime and cartoons. Etc.
I used to be a gamer to the point that I had no life whatsoever. I'm not anymore, although I will play CS or chess sometimes. I guess you could say I'm a language nerd and a music nerd.
Yep! that's me. Nerds are the most interesting people in the world! We have the skills, intelligence and knowledge to take over the world. The only thing stopping us is that we don't have a 'Nerd agenda'.
Yes. You're a officially verified nerd now And for liking chiptunes and pixel art you deserve a - HIGH FIVE! ^-^ Glad to see I'm not the only one going crazy 'bout those. May I ask what is the right way to do sci-fi & space themes for your liking?
I am a science nerd... but i did not choose the nerd life and it did not choose me either because i do not have a life..
I'm a big nerd too ^.^ haha I love rockets and spacecraft and anything on the subject of space and space exploration not to mention I am a gigantic anime nerd haha
Huge nerd here! Harry Potter is my lifeblood, and I play Pokemon, WoW, and a load of video games, and I'm a competitive chess player (I used to train 6 days a week and attend tournaments almost every weekend).
I am the biggest nerd you will ever meet ---------- Post added 2nd Mar 2016 at 03:26 PM ---------- we need to come up with the nerd agenda
Yep yep total nerd. If I watch a show/read a book I am ULTRAFAN for at least two months afterwards, with the occasional rebound a few months later. I mean, I'll draw fan art, write fanfiction, read fanfiction, cosplay... Yep.
Oh yes, I'm a "nerd", though perhaps not in the pop cultural sense that the word often has now. I'm not a math/science nerd either. I'm a nerd about literature, history, languages, philosophy, religion...I can read non-fiction all day, I think textbooks are entertaining, the best movies are the ones I can spend days after reading analyses of online, I practically live in the library...nerd-dom is my domain.
I guess last time I replied it didn't work? Odd. But it's nice to know I'm not the only one who still appreciates them! There's not a whole lot of it out there but if you look hard enough there's some really well done work in there~ :icon_bigg I really like it when they're done in a believable or scientifically accurate way. For example, if they add in some sort of alien species they aren't just green humans: I can understand convergent evolution and all but if they were on another distant planet for their entire existence they'll have anatomy to reflect it. If a humanoid alien species is added they can still be constructed far different from a human. I love it when the concept is both plausible and entertaining.
