I just noticed that members need to create threads or promote their album just to showcase their LGBT artwork. I would suggest that we should have a forum where it is intended for the (purely) LGBT+ themed artworks. It would be like EC's own album, it has features like an ordinary member's album (picture has limited size and can put several sentences as captions). The only difference would be anyone can comment (regular and full member alike). That's not much of a big deal and staffs should be doing more important things (upcoming EC upgrade, ehem) BUT it would be much easier for art enthusiast members to see browse artworks made for the LGBT. And I would also suggest that this would be public (by public, I mean non members can see it). This would bring an impression to the others that we give support not just by words, but also by brush/pen strokes. Some caring words isnt enough, you know. Advantage: - Showcase the artistic talents of EC members - Give support to the community with the use of artworks - Inspire others to make artworks for the community - Add color to EC - There will be no super giant images that would take time loading, that mostly happen in threads Disadvantage: - Additional work to the ever busy staffs - Might take several website maintenance Thanks for hearing me out
We couldn't allow a situation where anyone could comment, as that would be a gaping hole in our security protocol. And we've previously considered art and poetry, but haven't made the decision to provide any sort of forum for them. It's possible that could change after we move to the new platform, but for now we really aren't making any changes as our focus is on preparing for the new platform.
